My friend wanted to try this place since we have heard a lot of good reviews about it. Canāt deny that the sweets on the pictures look so delicious 𤤠So I decided to try from the drink. I ordered a peach green tea with milky foam top. Not sure if the tea sits too long while delivering. I had two sips and could not continue. The drink is not cheap. Iām glad that I ordered it along with other meals with my friends so we could share the cost. First of all, the taste disappointed me. I would not try other things from this place since they couldnāt even make the drink right. Secondly, the delivery service was confusing me. They would āmentionā you to pay 20% tips to the driver. Ok no problem. We had an order costs a little bit over 50 bucks, and I added 20% tips. They asked me again about how much tips Iāve paid so they could pay the driver??? I was like why your customer had to do the math for you? No problem. I bared with it. After 30 mins waiting for my food, I got a text saying that they didnāt do the math right, I had to pay $10 more to get my food. I was like???? Ok give me refund please. Then I got a text saying that if I would like to wait until 8pm to see if thereās more people ordering food they could still do it without the extra $10 charging. I was already tired of negotiating, so whatever, as long as I can get my drink tonight. Iāve done enough work for a drink. šOverall, bad experience. I would not recommend this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeing a Shiba owner and a huge fan of bubble tea, I was really excited to hear about this shop. I was there last week and unfortunately a lot of products were out of stock including all of their baked goods. It seemed like the crepe cakes were set aside for delivery orders. Despite that, I ended up just getting a milk tea that includes boba. They did not have any boba on hand, so I was a little disappointed to still be charged full price for the drink. The service was also a little slow, but it looked like they were short staffed and training new employees.
The hostess said they only opened a couple months ago, so I can definitely understand the owners may be still be working things out with their products and staffing. On the plus side, the shop is nicely decorated and has a good variety of menu items and neat Japanese/Shiba Inu-themed souvenirs for sale. I'll be looking forward to my next visit to hopefully try one of their desserts! Wishing this place...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhen I saw a news article about Sweet Shiba Desserts in March, I wanted to go right away! Unfortunately COVID-19 delayed that; I live in Port Orange, and it suddenly was not the best time to make a trip to Orlando. But I finally had an opportunity to go to Orlando two weekends ago, and stopping by Sweet Shiba, even if it was just to do curbside pickup and eat in my car, was at the top of my list. It was worth the wait! My family and I ordered the Oreo Mochi, Oreo Crepe Cake, Matcha Red Bean Crepe Cake, Mango Banji, Sunset Drink with Mango Popping Boba, and Pineapple Green Tea with Cheese and Mango Popping Boba. The mochi was bigger than we expected and was really good, as were the banji and crepe cakes. And the drinks had a really unique flavor that was so delicious! I canāt wait until I am able to go back and enjoy a meal inside the restaurant, and try everything else...
