Bodega Delicatessen — Restaurant in Oxford Township

I have been trying to book Bodega Catering for my daughter’s college graduation party. This has been in coordination with my daughter’s roommates and families. The girl’s requested Bodega bc they ❤️ their food.

So, I reached out to their catering manager Lindsey via phone multiple times and also emailed her 2+ times specifically saying we want to place a catering order/please call. I repeatedly asked for a call back and never received one from her. I finally reached her on Monday of this week and she never once apologized for not acknowledging my emails and phone calls. She did however tell me that she needed to get back to me no later than Wednesday (today) because she wasn’t sure if they had room for extra catering on graduation day. I obliged with the agreement that I would hear from her by today.

I decided to reach out to her again this morning because I was on the road in an area with little reception. When we (one of the Mom’s) called to inquire earlier today about the status, one of the Bodega employees HUNG up on my friend. So incredibly rude and unprofessional. I am severely disappointed in your unprofessionalism and lack of kindness. I hope that this rude behavior does not continue bc eventually it WILL impact your business! You can’t treat people like that who WANT to pay you good money. At the very least, follow-through with a return phone call or email as promised. I realize you’re one of the few restaurants in town but at the end of the day this is just wrong. I will not eat at Bodega ever again. This is the first time I’ve ever written a review like this. Today two employees were absolutely rude for no reason at all while myself and my girlfriend showed no hostility towards them. I carried in my service pup in training (they are allowed in) and was asked to wait outside with the dog. So I went out without arguing because I wasn’t in the mood. My girlfriend received short, one-word answers and dirty looks for using their hand sanitizer DURING A PANDEMIC. They were both extremely unwelcoming, unfriendly and it is my belief that this is not how a business should run. Let it be known that we came in hours before they were closing, wore masks, maintained social distance and were even friendly when they were not. By far the best place to eat at with friends and family. You can create your own sandwiches or choose from their creations. Delicious sides and my favorite being each sandwich comes with pickle and chips. And they accommodate people with Gluten Allergies which is great considering limited options in Oxford. I love how the staff is friendly and they always have smiles in their faces as they serve. The owners do such a good job of connecting with community and truly welcoming everyone who comes through their doors. I love the staff, love the food and love the atmosphere....
