Five Guys — Restaurant in Oxford

Horrible experience. I took my mother here for the first time,and the food was not good at this location. The fries were burnt and salty. The milkshake was runny,and the food all together just did not taste good. When I returned the food and nicely asked for a refund,the crew member (light skinned lady with red lipstick on),had the nerve to tell the lady who I assumed was the shif lead that "the food was too expensive ", and said that was the reason why I asked for a refund,which was not the case at all. The shift lead(lady in a black shirt with a pinned up long black hair)then proceeds to say in the rudest way prossible"O I 'm sorry the food was so expensive for for you" .I turned around and told them both that the price has nothing to do with it,my mother simply did not like the food. I have never had such a rude and disrespectful experience in my life! Who tells a customer that? They got mad just because they also had one kind of inspection, which is still no excuse for the kind of disrespect my mother and I experienced at this location! I will never eat...

Okay, I’ve eaten at several other 5 Guys so I’m aware of the price- like some of the other comments complained about. I know how much I’m paying & at other 5 Guys locations, I’m used to that because the quality is great. However, I have eaten at this location twice now. The first visit I waited an hour AFTER paying for my food, so I decided to give it another try thinking that one experience was just a fluke. However, on my second visit, I still had to wait 40 minutes AFTER the promised time.. and my food was soggy by the time I got it. I was wanting to bring this up to the staff but I never got a chance because they essentially threw my food at me and moved on to the next customer. I expect better from the high quality I’m used to at other Five Guys locations & will likely NOT...

I wouldn’t even give this place a one star. First impressions are big for me. Five Guys has been one of my favorite restaurants since I’ve eaten at the one elsewhere. So I decided to try the Five Guys here in Oxford. I do understand that we’re going through a pandemic with COVID-19, but I refuse to wait another hour to get my food. I’m late returning to work from my lunch break because I had to wait an ENTIRE HOUR for my food after giving my food to someone else. No, I wasn’t leaving my food because I paid $20 for a burger, fries and a large sprite. And when I finally got my food, it WAS NOT WHAT I ORDERED! I WILL NOT be coming back to this...
