This is a great hotel for a short term stay. The rooms were clean, and the hotel is modern and updated which gives me peace of mind and makes me feel at ease. It is very central to anything you would need: Interstate traveling, shopping, restaurants, etc. There is a small breakfast downstairs which was all I needed. They had yogurt, cereal, fruit, and maybe a couple of other things. I love that they had an oats and granola dispenser that I could add to my yogurt or my cereal. I also appreciated that they had an in room USB-C charger, as I feel many hotels only provide a USB. There are a few things I feel need improvement in someway: There was a very strong smell throughout the entire hotel of some kind of air freshener or cleaner. I woke up one morning with a migraine because of it. I think it would be great if the hotel would stop using whatever that is causing that smell. The comforter on the bed had a very rough texture to it, and the beds were very firm. The walls are also very thin, although I never had an issue with noise while I was there. However, you can hear people in their rooms as you walk down the hallway. I don’t think I had anyone on either side of me so again, I had no issues there. It was overall a pleasant stay and the cons were not that bad. It is a very affordable hotel, like a mini version of a more...
Read moreRooms are small, as others suggest, but I found them perfect for the purpose. You do want to make sure you’re on a similar schedule with whoever is sharing your room because of the location of the sink inside the sleeping area & not in the bathroom. Bedding was great and super comfy if you’re OK with a full size mattress. Room was very new and clean with slightly European feeling desk/closet furniture. I think it’s unfortunate for the chain for whatever this building was previously, but it does smell of something else at times. Mold? Must? I can’t put my thumb on it but it’s there. My husband has a better sense of smell than me and won’t be back, but I would stay here again in a heartbeat. It’s perfect for a lower-cost quick sleep, shower, and departure. It’s also in walking distance of...
Read moreHave traveled the world since I was 5, hands down the Sleep Inn Oxford Alabama is the worst hotel I have ever been to.||||Their desk staff has some of the most rude people I have ever encountered in hospitality. We extended our stay online for an additional day and because my husband was at work (he had the physical credit card) they LITERALLY kicked me out with my 2 kids. Wouldn't take cash, wouldn't wait 2 hours.||||This is unheard of in the hotel industry. ||||Yes they are Indian. I am Asian, so not a race thing.||||Be warned - NEVER STAY HERE!!||||We went right next door to the Holiday Inn Express and they were so lovely, with Alabama service.||||Another...
