Horrible experience! The service or lack thereof. received from the server named Jada, would ruin anyone’s mood. The hostess was super friendly & greeted us. Unfortunately, that was the beginning & end of our friendly interactions. We are not sure as to what the issue was, but we are certain that it was not caused by us, it obviously had already occurred by the time we were seated, & was even more so apparent, throughout our interaction with her. She only spoke to tell us her name. She did not smile. She did not have a friendly tone. She seemed to be bothered & annoyed at something or someone or a combination thereof. None of which is a concern of ours, nor should it be any patron’s. The final straw was when she slammed our appetizer on the table without a word, without additional plates. Knowing the horrors that occur in the hospitality industry, I went to get the hostess to print off our bill, because we were not going to dine there, but our food was delivered. So we asked for togo boxes & the bill. We declined to speak to the manager, not sure if anything would’ve been resolved.
Although we declined to speak to a manager, that was the person who brought our togo boxes. My husband explained everything. I had already removed myself to avoid any further interactions w/Jada. The manager proceeded to defend her by stating she was one of her best servers, & we had to be mistaken. I guess our experience wasn’t valid, just as Jada was exceptional.
We are not able to verify the manager’s opinion, nor were we going to defend our position. However, maybe the mgr had a point, because the patrons behind us, received the complete opposite of our service. I wonder if it had something to do with our physical appearance, compared to the other patrons. We are opposite, of the demographic majority for the area. A physicality, that no one can control or choose. Unlike Jada, who clearly chose her line of work. It’s apparent she wanted to be elsewhere, than at her CHOICE (not forced or coerced) of employment. Just in case this goes nowhere, there’s always a Corporate Office . We like the chain & may...
Read moreIt’s rare for me to take the time to write a review, but felt I needed to. This location use to be our favorite goto restaurant especially for a good steak, which we use to frequent about every 2 weeks . My wife and I wanted to go get our favorite steak the outlaw ribeye this last week. It has been like 6-8 months since we last went, and it was odd that when we got there on a Saturday evening around 5:30 that we got seated immediately and it was not very crowded; which was nice to say. I also noticed that I didn’t recognize the staff like we always use to in the past over the years. Ok, so we order our outlaw steak medium plus, which is to be just a touch over medium. When we got the steak it was very well done. Although after the server gave it to us and took a while to return, we just decided to eat whatever we could because we were just hungry. It was so over cooked the meat was tannish white which is way over cooked, most likely got in the 190 degree range of inside temperature. When the server finally came back we ask for the check and then she ask how was it . We just pointed at what was left at our steak, and she said, “Oh, that don’t look medium”. She said I’ll fix that and apologized. We told her it’s not her fault and not to feel bad. She did take the steak cost off , but I gave that amount back to her in tip just for being sympathetic to us for how it turned out. We were disappointed in the food compared to how consistent it use to be. Staff seemed short handed and it seemed somewhat hectic in the server atmosphere: which is why I guess it took long periods to be checked on. When we left to go home , we noticed the new steakhouse across the road had people waiting outside in the parking lot to get in , and the parking was completely full. We couldn’t help but think, is that the reason it seemed like our experience was not as good, that maybe cooks and servers went to go work there . Very Disappointed when we were so looking for a...
Read moreThe manager Dave is horrible. We love longhorn and go often. We enjoy the steaks and everything we order.Never had a bad experience at any longhorn before. First, the beginning of just a terrible experience, there was something like a rock or pebble that got bitten into.My boyfriend took a piece of bread and soaked up the end of a salad and salad dressing and felt a hard crunch in his teeth. We let the server know and waited for our steaks. He ordered ribeye med rare Pittsburgh and I ordered a flos filet medium. When his steak came out it looked burnt to a crisp and was well done inside. My filet had a tiny bit of pink but it was mostly well done and very dry and chewy. We've never sent food back before but we love our longhorn steaks and that's why we continue to go. So the server offered to put in another order. Also the side of fries was old and cold and the Brussel sprouts (which we always enjoy) were tasteless.By now we just want our dinner. They brought new steaks out.His was good and my filet was well done and looked like....I don't know what but not a filet. Just a dry plain well done piece of meat.Savannah our server said she was going to get the manager. She returned without him telling us that he will take it off the bill. He never showed his face at our table until we asked for him. He walked up to our table and said..."Yeah what's up?" It seemed as though we were bothering him.We explained the situation....just like this.He never once apologized or asked what could be done to improve our experience. He didn't even acknowledge the stone or pebble found in our food. All he said was, "yeah sure I'll edit your check" and walked away before we could even say anything. We understand things happen and sometimes it's just not a good night. We have never sent our steaks back in the years we've been going. They always come out great. The most disappointing and messed up thing about all this is how the manager Dave handled the situation....
