The food at Chick-fil-A is always delicious. I really like all their menu items. Their staff are some of the nicest, caring people in a customer service environment. Top notch 5 stars!!! . This recent visit I ordered their delicious chicken tortilla soup. Unfortunately I could tell it was at the bottom of the batch because it was much thicker and very hot- spicy hot. As cooks know, the longer spice peppers cook, the hotter they can be. I took 1 bite and could not eat it. It was so hot the vapor/aroma actually burned my eyes & nose a little. Having a stubborn hunger I tried it anyway. It truly hurt the majority of that night and took several doses of tummy calming meds over the next 10-12 hours to stop the pain. Fortunately, I just had pain, not the other. Normally I'm only a little sensitive to such, hence the bite after the warning vapor I ignored!!! It was still delicious just not the normal mild spicy soup I love. I can't imagine how they could address and fix such a situation unless putting a limit on how long it can be on a warmer ready to serve. I love the soup and hope it stays on the menu. They're a smart company I love to support. Just beware if it's super thick, u may want to add ur broth to it maybe sprinkled with fresh spinach to tame the bite. My experience yesterday afternoon was by far the worst I’ve had at this location. I placed a mobile order and went through the drive-thru. When I got to the window, the cashier told me my card had declined. I immediately pulled up my bank account and showed that the payment had already been deducted. She insisted that I pay again. Since I was on my lunch break and needed to get back to work, I gave her my card and moved on.
Later that day, I noticed the charge had come out of my account twice. I called and spoke with Meredith, who assured me she would get the refund taken care of. That seemed fine at the time. However, when I checked this afternoon, no refund had been issued. I called back and spoke with Meredith again, and she told me that their system only showed one charge and that I would need to take it up with my bank.
What frustrated me most is that I was never contacted with an update. When I asked why, Meredith simply said she got off work after my call. In my experience in customer service, you don’t leave a customer issue unresolved without follow-up.
Overall, this has been an extremely disappointing experience, both in the handling of my order and the lack of communication afterward.

Read moreOne of the most poorly run and disappointing Chick-Fil-As I have ever had the misfortune of eating at. I have eaten here multiple times over my time in Oxford. Two out of every three times I have been here my experience has been negative. This ranges from not including things in my order that I paid for, my order being forgotten and waiting for half an hour till I have to remind them that I placed an order because they lost it, rude and unprofessional employees dancing around in front of me, and finally a moldy gluten free bun. This experience was the final straw for me with this location. I took my bun back into the store after going through the drive thru and finding it moldy in my bag. The manager I spoke to did not apologize or try to make the situation right at all. She simply said “hmm weird!” And left me standing at the counter for 5 minutes without any communication. I then had to wait another twenty minutes for them to thaw my new bun for my sandwich. I didn’t mind waiting that much but I was shocked with how I was not communicated with and no one apologized at all! In addition, the bun was still half frozen when I got it!
