IHOP — Restaurant in Paducah

12/22/21. I had a group of 15 people fir brunch (11 am). The food tasted good but several said it was not hot. However, for the second time in 2 days the floor Mgr/ and waitress was disappointing. The floor manager knew one of the group members so she was being a little more familiar than you would expect she bellowed over the table “y’all are going to leave a tip for the waitress aren’t you?”🤬. Everyone had not received their food at this point! The waitress had done a good job so I don’t know where the comment came from. Fast forward waitress had placed checks for each of us. Some were leaving early so they paid quickly and left. Others paid sporadically. The waitress came to the end of table where I was sitting and announced she had 3 open checks. Two people were still eating and 1 was in the restroom so I could guess who still hadn’t paid. However, in all my days of eating out (I’m 63) I had never seen this before. I told the waitress that that was offensive and it seemed like she thought my guests were going to run off without paying😡. I told her she should have been able to figure out who had not paid from her register and quietly pick up payments without interrupting the meals. She got defensive and raised her voice and I did too. I told her I was just sharing my advice with her. She walked off and a few minutes later the store manager came to table (waitress told her) to apologize and I told her what happened and the wait staff needed additional training. She apologizes again and made excuses for waitress and she had the floor manager to apologize immediately… never got one from waitress. Needless to say I’ll think 2-3 times before I go back. I left 20% tip anyway. But really I was used to groups of 8 or more adding gratuity to check…I guess to...

We made a reservation the night before for a party of 12-14. When part of our party arrived they were not at all prepared. They had the name for our party wrong, even though I spelled it twice for the gal on the phone the night before. They didn't have a place set and ready and wasn't sure where they would put us. When we arrived they didn't have enough seats in the area they put us, but luckily there was an open table directly beside it so we overflowed into that. We ended up with 14 total, but they had only given us seating for 12. No biggie on that though, it worked out. The waitress greeted us quickly and got our drink and food orders in a timely manner. Her name was Kelsie V super sweet and she did a great job! The food came out in a timely manner as well and it was all correct. No one had to wait for anything except silverware. The hostess did not give us any when we were seated only menus. The food was excellent. The pancakes were only like warm, but I don't mind that. Pancakes are hard to keep warm when you have a large amount of food being prepared for a party. My omelet was amazing! I had the spinach and mushroom omelet. Definitely will have that again! My husband said the men's bathroom was fairly clean, but the women's bathroom was not. The floor was really nasty. Lots of what actually looked like food particls. I am not sure if they just haven't mopped in a long time or used a dirty mop and mop bucket. I gave them a four star review because they were unprepared for our party and the restrooms were yuck! I decided to get food at IHOP because of the available healthy menu you offer and they where open until 3am. My visit started out with waiting to be seated and waiting 12 minutes to make contact with an employee, My first question was where they open because I was the only guest in the restaurant and wanted to make sure, Who appeared to be a Cook was very polite and he said he was unsure if they where open but he would find out he apologized and had a woman who appeared to be a Manager come seat me she responded she was sorry for the wait she was outback jumping Someones car? So no big deal i was hungry! So the Manager took my order and brought me my drink, qhen the food arrived my water was empty and she said she would be back qith a glass of water but unfortunately never brought me anything else to drink, I observed her on a computer with a Clipboard doing paper work and was puzzled why she didnt bring me some more water. I ate my food with no drink and it was actually delicious so hats off to the Cook!The Strawberry Banana Protien Pancakes where very good along with my plant based sausage and eggs that where cooked perfectly! So when she returned to get my empty plates she finally filled my water and had the nerve to ask me if everything was great. I replied it was ok, not trying to be rude but she also kept calling me sweetheart witch made me very uncomfortable.
