I'm sorry to inform you that our visit for dinner at your Toojay’s in Palm Beach was the worst waitress experience I’ve had in many years. It all started when we walked in the inside door. We approached Karen (the waitress) and politely asked her if we could seat our selves or do we need to be seated. Her response shocked me! She walked over the the sign and said “do you see this sign? If you would have came in the other door you would have seen it! The sign says…Please seat yourself” In amazement, I thought to myself, excuse me for walking in the wrong door! It got worse. This woman wound up being our Waitress! When we got seated, she came over to our table and said “ARE YOU READY TO ORDER”? in a brash tone of voice with a scowl on her face. I looked at my wife and said, “is this really happening or is it me”? She came back a second time while we were looking at the menu and said “ARE YOU READY YET”? my wife looked at her and said, "no, were not ready yet, can you give us a couple of minutes”? At this point I realized that this is not right. You don’t treat customers like this. When I was ready to order, I asked the Karen the waitress if I can upgrade our coupon for a beer for $3.00 more and she blurted out, “ THATS WHAT THE COUPON SAYS DOESEN’T IT”? My wife paid the bill and left her a $4.00 tip because If I would have paid for it on my credit card, I would have left her a penny. My question is this. Has Karen have a history of being rude or moody to customers? Does she have some kind of privilege like related to the owners? When she served the people next to us, she smiled and was very nice. When she served us, she was a mean as a junkyard dog! Is this the way you want your customer’s treated? I would like to hear your response...

This is referencing the TJ’s on Palm Beach Island. I guess you could say I was “asking for it”. I went to what is basically a sandwich lunch place for a light dinner on a Friday night. The place was nearly empty. Usually, I walk out when I see this in a restaurant. Much like I walk out of an Asian restaurant if I don’t see any Asian faces or a middle eastern restaurant if I don’t see any brown people. If you think that’s being racist it is: I’m pro Asian and Brown people. Ordered the fish and chips. The fish were from a frozen mass distributed supplier, over breaded and tasteless. “And such small portions!” The “chips”, the same, nearly tasteless also. Still there was a small side of coleslaw, I think, but maybe I’m mistaken. Finally, the tartar sauce, out of a bottle and completely unoriginal. I have absolutely no idea why I had to wait 15+ mins. For my server to show up and I ask for the bill. Here’s the other side. This is a basic lunch place. I’ve been to other TJ’s for lunch and had an acceptable, mind you not great, experience. Fine. Those other times 3+1/2–4 stars. This time, like I said at the beginning. It’s not a...

TooJay's deli on Palm Beach Island is a fantastic little restaurant. I have become quite the regular customer. I feel that the employees are almost like family. From the always smiling Joanne my server to he always pleasant management team. This place manages to turn out some really good food. I think they have one of the best matzo ball soups I have ever had. If you get there for breakfast you can have one of their fantastic breakfast omelets which I believe they serve all day. You must be there before 10:00 for the other breakfast items. I really enjoy the everything bagel with cream cheese. At a bowl of fruit and a cup of coffee it's a great way to start your morning. When I become hungry for lunch I can always rely on a quick sandwich that is healthy and also attractive. The one sandwich I ordered is an avocado BLT. As you can see by the picture this thing has probably a half a pound of meat with beautiful slices of tomato and fresh avocado. Absolutely dynamite! I also enjoy the Reuben sandwich very much it has a huge stack of meat and plenty of cheese to go with the sauerkraut. This one is surely a...

Delicious menu, friendly staff. Was quiet in the morning, only one more table was reserved. I liked that they have a kids menu.

Toojay's brand new Brunch menu is going to drop in August and we got a little sneak preview! I started with a Tangerine Mimosa and a beautifully crafted Cinnamon Bun with delicious flaky layers. I never met a Latke I didn't like, and these were great - nice and crispy on the outside. Made with shredded potatoes and served with the obligatory applesauce and sour cream. We enjoyed the Bananas Foster French Toast (new menu item), Buttermilk Pancakes with fresh fruit as well as Buttermilk Pancakes with toasted almonds & chocolate chips (new menu items which were wonderful), Chicken & Waffles and much more. Everything was delicious and very reasonably priced - especially for Palm Beach! Shawn, our server, did a great job keeping our drinks refilled and providing excellent service and hospitality. Keep in mind, Toojay's isn't just for sandwiches. Their brunch is great and it's served every day until 2pm!
