Salute Ristorante Palm Beach — Restaurant in Palm Beach

Thanx to my wife, I had a birthday dinner at Salute last night and, it was spectacular! We had heard from friends that the place was great but that was an understatement!! In short, everything about Salute was first-rate! The space itself, both inside and out, was beautiful! The service was outstanding from the minute we walked in the door until the time we left. And, the food was outrageously good! We opted for a number of the many choices on its expansive Tasting Menu and were dazzled by each! Every dish was a work of art and the flavors were wonderful! The Beef Carpaccio, Veal Meatballs, Carciofini, Fiori di Zucchinelle, Ravioli Stuffed with Snow Crab, Wagyu Senko Contro Filetto are just a few of the many choices on the Tasting Menu and they were otherworldly!! And, I was able to substitute a Risotto with Truffles dish that was truly amazing! There are many other options on the Tasting Menu and we can’t wait to get back to Salute to try those. The Wine list is extensive and all choices are well-priced. Finally, the service . . . Being a Tuesday evening, in the off-season, the restaurant was quiet. So, we had the good fortune to meet the owner Rafaelle (sp?) who was a delight! He was friendly, up-beat, enthusiastic about the restaurant and more than willing to take us through his family’s history in the restaurant business and his other holdings like Bice and Cafe Med. And our Server, Aly (sp?) was wonderful. He was knowledgeable, made excellent recommendations, as this was our first time at Salute, and was attentive to all our needs. If I could give this restaurant 10 stars I would. It is a gem that is hidden on the first floor of a condo in Palm Beach. It is a slice of Italy in Palm Beach. We were greeted at the door by Valentina the restaurant manager, who was so friendly and accommodating and inviting. She brought us to our table and was attentive checking in on us all through our meal. She couldn’t have been more gracious and accommodating . The owner, Raphaelo, came by and helped us make our selections. His passion for his restaurant and his food were very evident. He too was so attentive and friendly and made us feel at home and welcome. Now let me get to the food. It truly was a dining experience from the first bite to the last. Everything was perfect. I am a very critical fussy eater. When I tell you, this was perfect believe me it was. I started with the Caesar salad, perfection, my entrée was the linguine with the lobster sauce. It was fantastic 10+ rating. The dessert was a very, very fancy version of.Tirimisu that was beyond anything I can describe. Scrumptious. My husband ordered the PreFixe dinner that was 5 courses all with delicious sounding selections and everything he ordered really was, from the spinach /pear salad, to the scallops, to the ravioli stuffed with crab, to the bronzino (small plates perfectly sized) ending with him selecting the tirimisu. Wow! What a wonderful restaurant! Everything, literally everything was perfect! The service was outstanding - attentive, accommodating and knowledgeable (I’m gluten free and the server immediately knew exactly which items were gluten free and which weren’t. The setting was lovely and the menu was original and delicious! A positive for pasta lovers - numerous gluten free pasta choices. Last night, though, I had the lobster (not sure if they offer it all the time). It was like butter melting in your mouth, it was so tender. My friend had the salmon and she loved it. We also had the zucchini flan - the presentation was beautiful and the flavor was exquisite. Our server, Thomas, was top notch - he brought out two plates and split the flan for us without our even having to ask.
