Shamrocks Irish Pub — Restaurant in Palm Springs

This "Irish Pub" DOES NOT have Guinness on tap! Pretty lame.... "But we have Guinness in a can!" DOUBLE LAME LOL! In fact, NO IRISH BEERS ON TAP AT ALL! NO Harp, NO Smithwicks, NO Murphy's.. so on and so forth. They really tie the "Irish Pub" theme together with lots of Mexican themed decorations and drink advertisements including Chelada and Margaritas!👍 Really sets the "Irish Pub" tone! 🤡

Now there's nothing wrong with just being a bar with drinks and whatnot.. But to call this an "Irish Pub" is a joke. (It takes a little more than a couple of green neon shamrock signs to make it an IRISH PUB!)

Also the service was pretty lackluster the first time I was there.. Bartender lady had no personality and looked like she would rather be at home. I came back a couple weeks later, waited a few minutes and left without ordering. Same bartender lady was too fixated on her phone to bother with me.. Fair enough! I won't bother you again! What’s the first thing you want when you’re a tourist? To me, it’s SAFETY.

I was in Palm Springs for a birthday party and saw these adorable women dressed up as Barbie’s (celebrating something special clearly) next to us.

One of the Barbie’s (let’s call her Claire) bummed into a stranger at the bar and spilled water. Which happens in bars a lot due to lack of space. What happened next was astonishing. Well actually, I take that back. What happened was terrible and what preceded was more than astonishing.

The stranger started cussing at the Barbie girl who by mistake spilled water. And then all of a sudden the stranger started punching the Barbie. The astonishing part was that the two bouncers who were there and the bar tenders were clapping and cheering the fight. So strange. The group of girls were afterwards kicked out. And the girl who was throwing punches stayed.

Looked like a very local friendly place. PLEASE STAY AWAY!!

Good Irish Pub Bar on the main drag of Palm Springs. Great service, great location. I would normally give 5 stars but I took away a star because this Irish Pub didn’t have any Guinness. Their Guinness line has been broken for a “week” but at least get bottles of it. I also took away a star for the music. The super sweet bartender (which was amazing!!) happened to be taking over the TouchTunes playlist. I get that you (the bartender) wants to hear your songs but when you play 12 songs in a row so none of your customers can play songs, that’s an issue. People playing songs are sticking around to listen to their songs that they played and drink while doing so. If you don’t want people choosing their own songs on TouchTunes, then...
