Oh, where do I even start when it comes to the heavenly delights at "The Sandwich Spot" in Palm Springs? It feels like stumbling upon a little piece of paradise every time I step through their doors.
Picture this: the intoxicating aroma of freshly baked bread greets you, promising a culinary adventure that is nothing short of spectacular. Whether you are a fan of the robust flavors of Dutch Crunch or the wholesome goodness of multigrain, they've got the perfect foundation for your sandwich masterpiece.
Now, let's talk about their creations that are nothing short of artistry: "The Dinah" and "The Gene Autry". The Dinah is a sublime marriage of marinated chicken, crispy bacon, and creamy avocado, embraced by your choice of cheese. Each bite feels like a gentle hug to your taste buds, a melange of flavors dancing in perfect harmony.
On the other hand, the Gene Autry transports you to a warm, comforting space with its hearty roast beef drizzled with a tantalizing BBQ sauce and topped with a blanket of melted Jack cheese. It’s like a warm embrace in sandwich form, comforting and oh-so satisfying.
Their secret sauce is where the magic truly lies, tying together the fresh crunch of lettuce, the tang of pickles, and the burst of ripe tomatoes. Every layer adds a note of excitement, a surprise that leaves you yearning for the next bite.
Don't even get me started on the generous array of cheese choices that elevate each sandwich to a symphony of delightful notes, leaving a lingering taste of joy and a smile that comes from a meal well enjoyed.
I cannot emphasize enough how "The Sandwich Spot" has remained my cherished haven of deliciousness, growing in fame, yet retaining that warm, welcoming charm that made me fall in love with it years ago. Each visit is a testament to their consistent dedication to crafting not just sandwiches, but experiences filled with flavor, joy, and a sprinkle of Palm Springs sunshine.

Read moreI hate mayonnaise. Like passionately. My daughter hates pickles. Even the smell of them turns her stomach. I can't eat anything spicy (gives me heartburn). My daughter and I ordered a sandwich to share to-go. The veggie sandwich we ordered said it had avocado, sprouts, cheese, cucumber, tomato, & roasted red pepper. What we received contained mayonnaise, pickles, red onion (causes heart burn), and banana peppers (causes heart burn). WTH!!! My daughter almost puked from eating the unadvertised pickle. Pickle juice ruined the entire thing for her. Mayo flavor/saturation ruined it for me. In this day & age with violent allergic reactions, this place is cruising for a lawsuit. Jerseys Mikes it will be next time!!!!!! Very, very disappointed 👎👎👎 --------- UPDATE------------- In response to the owner, should I have ordered my sandwich without cream cheese and relish and spinach and hummus and secret sauce too...even though it doesn't say they are on the sandwich? It's not a "communication error" on my part to have failed to ask for things to be excluded on my sandwich that were not listed as ingredients. That is 100% YOUR communication error. And then to blame me for it...how tacky. I changed my review from 2 to 1 stats. The only correct response to my review is an apology and a pledge to put up a sign somewhere stating that these items will automatically be put on people's sandwiches unless they say otherwise AND to have cashiers point to the sign while people order and ask them if they want all that "unlisted" stuff. A place who actually cared would have then invited us back for a free sandwich as an apology. That would have got this review turned from 2 stars to 5. I literally felt that fatty, greasy, lard-like mayonnaise coated down my esophagus for like an hour after eating it....

I am a frequent visitor to the Sandwich Spot diving up from Rancho Mirage. It's normally a five star sandwich which is why I make the trek. However, today, I ordered my regular #1, The Frank Sinatra on Dutch Crunch Bread, everyones favorite bread.
Imagine my surprise when I get home and opened my #1 on Marbled Rye. Marbled Rye? How the F did I get Marbled Rye? Maybe I didn't speak loud enough for the woman to hear my order or maybe my spoken Dutch Crunch sounded like Marbled Rye? I am old, maybe I said Marbled Rye instead of Dutch Crunch under some kind of senior moment. Except, they have the bread on display on the counter and I pointed to it. I pointed to the bread I wanted and they still F'ed it up
I should have checked the sandwich before I left the store. This is not the first time they have misinterpreted my order during a heavy lunch rush. That must add to the problem because both times I got the wrong order it was a people to the door, no place to sit moment when lots of sandwiches are flying around.
Check your food before you leave. Make sure you get what you ordered or thought you ordered.
Here's a suggestion, another sandwich place I go repeats my order to me at nauseam. First when you order the sandwich they repeat your order right back to you. Second, when you pay at their register they repeat the order to you. Finally, when you pick up your sandwich they repeat the order. I may get tired of confirming my order but guess what? I don't get home and have Marbled Rye instead of...
