Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Panama City Beach

I am extremely shocked at how this place runs its business.. & Alan needs to be demoted!! I have been sitting in this drive thru for 52 minuets & have nobody in front of me & 2 cars behind me.. There was 4 cars in the pull screens, So not busy right?? WELL! Im sitting in the drive thru & 1 they never even said hi, bye or kiss my butt.. they give me bits an pieces of my order.. I have people behind me honking thinking I AM the one wasting time.. The lady who doesnt speak good english, hands me a bag & i tell her im missing 1/2 my order, she rolls her eyes & hands me another bag.. NOT my order, assuming the people behind me?? I tell her it isnt mine an hand it back.. She again rolls her eyes an acts like she has no clue what im talking about.. I took upon myself to pull up & had no choice but to call them so at least they could at least get the couple behind me.. I ask for a manager an this is how that went "Maam we are extremely busy your going to have to wait" I then tell him, no there not busy & he really sat on the phone arguing with me! I told him that i wasnt arguing with him my order was messed up, he puffed an asked what i needed i told him.. they then 10 mins later send the wrong order AGAIN to me.. The girl that dont speak good englis proceeds to stand there AGAIN looking like she dont know whats going on.. the 3rd time she came out it was correct.. My order was SIMPLE... 2 #10s, 1 plain & a #5, dr.p, coke an strawberry limeaide... Let me tell you, I am from out of town.. I was a manager at mc.donalds for 7 years & i PROMISE YOU.. My store would NOT be ran that way, my customers would NEVER have been talked to like that & i dam sure wouldnt have charged them after the 3rd wrong.. 1 hour & 17 minuets of this.. 1/2 the foods cold.. just...

This is THE place to avoid!! Okay...I tried not ignore the 1 star reviews. Went to this Sonic (close to the beach and our location) and sat in line (only my car bc the truck in front drove away and the 2 cars behind me drove away) and it took 24 minutes...and they STILL didn't include 1 combo fries nor any straws for the drinks. I only ordered 2 burger combos and 1 Chilli cheese dog. It took 5 minutes before someone acknowledged me at the order sign/point, then 19 minutes or more for them to hand the food out the window. I see why other people drove away. If my family hadn't stayed at the beach (if they were with me), I would have just left. I RARELY give a bad review but if something is bad enough I feel the need to let other know so they don't have the same experience. I have one recommendation for this location...avoid at all cost. @The below reply from the Sonic Drive-In owner: though it disappeared after this edit/reply: I am not taking my time to call or message the franchise owner. It is up to them to pay attention or perhaps periodically go through the line to see how their business is being run. The food industry is the easiest industry that the owner/investors can experience from the side of the customer/consumer. In the end this was a great learning point for my 11 year old son who was there with me. I told him, if you have a (or multiple) businesses, check in on them and if it's being run poorly, go there and do the work yourself. Sometimes that is what it takes if you really care about it. This restaurant is very short handed on staff and the ones that are their dont care about the customers and are rude. This week I swung by around 5:30 pm. There was about 5 cars in the park and order section and 1 car in the drive thru. I waited in line in the drive thru for 15 minutes and then another 15 minutes for my food which was wrong. There was one car ahead of me at the drive thru speaker and they waited at the speaker for 10 minutes for someone to take their order. No one ever did take the order so they drove off without ordering. When I got the speaker I waited for 5 minutes for someone to take my order. No one ever took my order so I drove to the window to ask if I could order from the window since no one had acknowledged me at the speaker. After about a minute a lady was very rude and asked what I wanted. I explained the No one took my order after being the speaker. She told me the cook was taking all the orders and cooking all the food. She was rude and I felt like I inconvenienced by simply being a customer. I ordered my food and waited about 10 minutes and it came out. I asked for a receipt and they begrudgingly gave me one. I looked in the back and my order was wrong and didn't mat h the receipt. They took my food back and remade it and gave me the correct order. The employees here do not care about the customer. It used to be ran well but not anymore. Avoid this location until management fixes...
