Mr.Maine’s Pizzeria — Restaurant in Panama City Beach

The pizza was really good, we came with a big crowd and everybody got some thing different so it took some time to come out but it was worth the wait for the food. Honestly based on food quality it was 5 stars. But I feel there’s something they should be aware of about our visit & I don’t like giving bad reviews just because of one bad apple at a restaurant so deff still deserving of 4 stars. Unfortunately the girl working the register (with curly bluish hair) had a serious attitude problem from the get go. First they gave our pizza away after waiting almost 45 minutes for it and everyone in our group had already eaten besides us. Okay no problem, things happen. We were understanding. It’s just the way she handled it that was wrong. After asking 2 different people how much longer one said 2 minutes the other said 10, after 15 minutes she came and told us they gave it away and they’re making a new one now so it would be another 15 and walked away. No sorry, just a huff and a look like we annoyed her to ask. Finally get the pizza after an hour and half of being there. It’s was seriously so good. I go to get silverware and some ranch. When i ask for ranch the same girl no joke rolls her eyes, huffs, and says sure... lol Yanks open the fridge and hands it to me with attitude from hell. I get we all have bad days. They were busy with to go pizzas so maybe she was just overwhelmed. Or maybe she’s use to rude out of towners. I wanna make an excuse for her because the food was so good but the way she treated us was unacceptable. We all have dealt with bad customers. But we were nothing but respectful even after a hour and half wait. The service was horrible but I don’t feel like it was the whole place. Just one bad apple. Visiting Panama City Beach for the second time, we were trying to skip chain restaurants such as Dominos. We tried this place based on location and reviews. We got a 14in pizza and Cesars salad. We placed the order to go over the phone. Very easy to place the order, since we found the menu online. As the reviewer mentioned previously, pizza has good size. The edge is pretty thick while the middle very thin, making it quite difficult to grab from the box, specially considering that the whole pizza is cut in 6 large pieces. Taste was just ok. Nothing impressive. It didn’t seem to have received much care during preparation by looking at how the toppings were spread out. The salad was a joke. Cesar salads are made with Romaine lettuce (and the menu states that), not fluffy old regular lettuce. Not enough cheese either. Lastly, the price doesn’t meet the quality of the product. Not an expensive pizza, but twice as much as Dominos. I was expecting at least something better. This place has lots of potential to receive lots of tourists during summer season, but they don’t seems to care about the quality of their products. Sorry, not...

We vacation here nearly every year. The pizza is good, so that’s the reason we returned. This visit, the customer service was SERIOUSLY lacking and they were extremely unprofessional. I hope the ownership will take note. We ordered 3 pizzas, 1 pasta dish and garlic knots for $125. My son’s bbq pizza was dry and needed some more bbq sauce so he requested more to be drizzled on the pizza. They told him he had to pay an additional 81 cents. So I speak to the guy making the pizza and I told him I didn’t think it was necessary to be charged additionally if it needed to be added and was already paid for. He acted ridiculously unprofessional and made it out like he was going to lose his job if he didn’t charge us. He ended up adding the sauce but made it very clear he had an attitude by huffing and puffing and shaking his head. If I were management, I would be completely embarrassed. In addition, their dining area was nasty and unkempt. We ended up cleaning our own table. They also had no straws for drinks. We won’t patronize this business anymore in the future.
