I always give a lot of leeway to waitresses and waiters who serve me, because I used to be one (waiter of course), and I know how tough their job is. As long as they are friendly, polite, and try their hardest, even if they make mistakes, I still give them a great tip, and a great review. However, tonight, we had probably the rudest waitress I’ve dealt with in the past 10 even maybe 20 years. Her name was Michelle I believe, a tall, blonde woman she was wearing a jean jacket. She was the rudest, most unfriendly, antagonistic waitress that I’ve ever encountered. She was argumentative with my father, who is 92 and extremely nice and friendly to everybody and his wife, who is also the same way. She was downright rude and nasty with me for absolutely no reason. And her rudeness and nastiness was deliberate; she knew exactly what she was doing. On top of that, she completely messed my dad’s order up; not sure how you get a quarter rack of ribs out of ground steak, but he was afraid to tell her because she would no doubt argue with him, so he ate maybe 2 bites out of the ribs she tossed on the table and then walked away. I’m not going to get into all the details or this would be a very long review, but her despicable attitude is the reason I give this place one star. The food was ok. There was a guy sitting in the booth next to us who was literally yelling every single time he talked with the loudest voice where we couldn’t even hear each other talk, so that’s why I also gave one star for the atmosphere. But because of Michele, I will never, ever go to this restaurant again. Not that this was a big deal, but her calling my dad “baby” was just weird and a little off putting to him and his wife, and just unprofessional to me, I wouldn’t have even mentioned that but combined with everything else…I hope management or the owner sees this and takes serious actions regarding her extremely bad attitude and rudeness. The hostess, however, was very polite...
Read moreWe ate dinner here last night. Yes fall break so it was not too busy until we left. We did get to enjoy live music which we sat in the room in the front of the restaurant and it was still extremely loud. We really could not hear each other once he started a song. Our food took over 35 minutes to get to us so I am not sure if they are understaffed or just a slower restaurant. The bar was very packed so maybe that caused the slow down. The theming of this restaurant is outstanding! I would give it a 5 star on that. Hands down the best thing. For our food we started with beer and soda and lemonade, all that came out with large cups and ice. For dinner we got the kids Mac and cheese with fries that my daughter gave a two thumbs up. My wife got a medium rare burger which was very under cooked see photo and of note fries are an additional 4 dollars each!! The burger by itself was 12 dollars very expensive and honestly the portions of the sides were very small for that price. Not a good deal. My son grabbed some wings and fries. Wings were a 3 out of 5 by him. I could tell they were a disappointment when he did not want to bring them home. I had a Cobb salad, French onion soup and cheese grits. Salad and soup were good. The grits is advertised as sharp cheddar grits so please next time melt the cheese in the grits!!! Because the temperature of the grits was not warm enough to melt the it. Very disappointing. Overall I gave the theme a 5 and food a 3. I asked the family if they would come back or try a new restaurant and all said try a new restaurant, therefore if you are in the area give it a try for the theming and...
Read moreI’m a regular. Live in gulf highlands and been coming over a long time. I always sit at bar and the service overall at bar has significantly declined. There is one girl and I can’t remember her name but she is the only one that delivers excellent service.. I’m here on 10/29/25 at 6:11 and she’s not behind the bar. The two ladies behind the bar are less than friendly and haven’t said two words all night to me. I have had to flag them down to even get a beer. I ordered off the happy hour menu like I’ve done many times before and for some reason tonight I encountered resistance. I ordered the burger with no bun. She told me I have to order it exactly like it cones because it’s happy hour. I said you can’t just have them not put it on a bun and she said no they been getting on me for that stuff. I was pissed but I just let it slide and ordered off the regular menu. As a regular I can tell you if the bartenders don’t start treating me better I’ll go somewhere else. Tonight was less than an enjoyable experience. The tip will reflect that too. Before you say I’m a poor tipper I can tell you I’ve left $100 tips here before. I’m a tipper but you have to treat me the right way or I’m not going to leave a good tip.
Update: The owner did reach out and apologize and acknowledged he would get this fixed. I certainly believe him and I know he has great character. This is a great place to come hear live music and enjoy some drinks and watch the football games. It does have many hardworking good people. Thanks for the quick response and I know you will get this matter addressed quickly...
