On my first day this trip, I had Italian on my stomach's mind so when I asked the concierge where is a good place for it, not one but two said, "Ferraro's" without hesitation. This trip was going to be one for food instead of tables so I wanted top rated as well. Mind you, I don't eat out much because I'm a good cook and often a better one than many restaurants I've dined in.
So as a party of one, me, I was seated immediately with water and bread. Since I don't drink much I had to ask for a wine recommendation from the server. (I was going all out this trip. LOL) First glass was a nice sweet wine to go with the kitchen special Polipo, marinated spanish octopus with potatoes. Ok, I'm ready to try new as long as it doesn't break rule #1: "Don't do dead". It didn't and was delicious. The flavors and the wine went well together. Yum number 1. :)
Next was the main dish, Osso Buco, lamb shank over polenta with a red wine reduction. In my words, "Oh my!". My stomach and mouth were in lunch heaven. And the service, one word, impeccable. It was a perfect start to my first (solo) vacation in many years. I was enjoying life.
Then came time for dinner. Still looking at Italian food day I went back. Different service staff, same impeccable service. (I'm from a small town in California that isn't known for it's restaurants. Other stuff but it's not a foodie destination.) Another thing that made me feel special there was when Executive Chef Ferraro stopped by my table and mentioned my lunch there. That and the food brought me back again.
For dinner that night I wanted pasta soooo.... Ferraro's it was. Starting with the Gamberoni Genovese, prawns in a citrus sauce. Again, cooked to perfection. Then the lobster pasta matched with a great glass of wine. Oh my!
My last night in Las Vegas I was going to a BBQ restaurant but the wait was too long. I didn't want to eat at a casino, they don't need my money so I thought a local place. I knew Ferraro's would have something on their menu so I went' there. Of course I was right, filet. (I would have eaten something else if they didn't but don't tell them that.) Filetto di Manzo, a 10 oz. filet with a mushroom sauce, side of roasted potatoes. But I had their Ferraro salad first. That was a plate of lots of things all joining together to deliver a wonderful start to my last Vegas meal for a while. The filet was the right size and delicious. The potatoes were roasted to perfection. I picked right. Topping it all off was a cappuccino and their tiramisu. Writing this I still remember enjoying the dinner start to finish.
It's not inexpensive but dining here is worth it. I truly enjoyed being pampered by their service. And I've had time to think about this next comment: I think this was the best Italian food I have ever had. I've had good stuff too, but Ferraro's topped them all.
Thank you for the experiences, Ferraro's. I'll...
Read moreWhile the food and service staff at Ferraro’s were genuinely excellent, I’ve rated this visit as 1 star because of an upsetting and discriminatory experience that completely overshadowed the meal.
My friend and I arrived for lunch and were being shown to our table when the Manager abruptly and loudly stopped us, stating that my friend could not dine there unless he was wearing a shirt with sleeves. Although surprised and embarrassed, we complied without complaint and retrieved a sleeved shirt from the car. We returned and were seated, ready to enjoy our meal.
However, not long after, two women were seated at the table directly next to us—both wearing sleeveless tops similar in style to what my friend had originally worn. I approached the Manager to ask why this was acceptable for them but not for my friend. His response was not only dismissive, but blatantly sexist: he told me that sleeveless tops are “more accepted on women than on men” and added, in a very rude tone, that “they look better on women anyway.”
That comment, and his attitude, completely ruined the experience. I was so upset I couldn’t finish my meal, and my friend felt incredibly uncomfortable. We were not just disappointed—we were humiliated.
I asked to speak with the Manager one last time to explain that his behavior was the reason I wouldn’t be leaving a tip—not because of the server, who had been lovely—but because I believed he, the Manager, should cover it. Instead of showing any empathy or taking accountability, he curtly told me to pay and leave.
I strongly believe we shouldn’t have been charged for a dessert I couldn’t eat due to the emotional distress caused by his discriminatory actions, but he refused to discuss it further.
The management at Ferraro’s, particularly this individual, is unprofessional, discriminatory, and completely lacking in customer care. I will never return, and I sincerely hope they reflect on how such behavior is unacceptable in any...

My recent dining experience at Ferraro's was nothing short of spectacular, setting a new benchmark for what I consider to be fine dining. From the moment we stepped into the establishment, we were enveloped in an ambiance that promised an unforgettable evening, and Ferraro's did not disappoint. We have been there three times in the past five weeks.
Service at Ferraro's was impeccable. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our evening was not just a meal, but a culinary journey. They were attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable yet approachable, and their recommendations were spot-on, enhancing our dining experience significantly. It's rare to find a team so dedicated to their patrons' satisfaction.
The highlight of Ferraro's, however, has to be their fresh homemade pastas. Each dish we sampled was a testament to the chef's expertise and passion for Italian cuisine. The flavors were authentic, rich, and perfectly balanced, turning simple ingredients into extraordinary creations. The pasta, made fresh daily, had that perfect al dente texture and was a clear standout. It's evident that Ferraro's places a high value on quality and freshness.
Adding to the unique experience, the chef personally greeted us at our table. This personal touch not only made us feel valued but also gave us insight into the creativity and care behind each dish. It was a delightful opportunity to express our appreciation and learn more about the culinary magic of Ferraro's.
In conclusion, Ferraro's is not just a restaurant; it's a destination for those seeking an exemplary dining experience. With its combination of amazing service, fresh homemade pastas, and the personal touch of the chef's table greeting, Ferraro's stands out as a jewel in the culinary landscape.
