If you're in search of an authentic, exceptional dining experience, look no further than China Restaurant. From the moment you step through the door, you’re greeted with an atmosphere that blends traditional elegance with a warm, inviting charm. The attention to detail in both the decor and the service sets the stage for a memorable meal.
What truly sets China Restaurant apart is its food. Every dish is crafted with an artful balance of flavors that highlights the richness of traditional Chinese cuisine while offering a unique twist. Whether you're a connoisseur of Chinese food or new to the culinary world, you’re in for a treat.
For starters, their Hot and Sour Soup is an absolute must-try. It strikes the perfect balance between tangy and spicy, with a deep, savory base that feels both warming and refreshing. The texture of the mushrooms and tofu adds an extra layer of heartiness that will leave you wanting more.
Moving on to the entrees, the Kung Pao Chicken is a standout. Each tender piece of chicken is glazed in a rich, slightly sweet, and spicy sauce, with a satisfying crunch from the peanuts and bell peppers. The flavor profile is complex and bold, and it pairs wonderfully with the light, fluffy steamed rice that accompanies it.
Another standout dish is the Peking Duck—served with delicate pancakes, fresh vegetables, and a touch of hoisin sauce. The skin is crisped to perfection, while the duck itself remains tender and juicy. The combination of textures and flavors in each bite is nothing short of spectacular, showcasing the chef's skill and dedication to authenticity.
What makes China Restaurant even more remarkable is their ability to cater to different tastes and dietary needs without sacrificing flavor. For vegetarians or those seeking lighter fare, their Vegetable Dumplings and Mapo Tofu are packed with flavor and are a wonderful alternative to meat dishes. The tofu, in particular, is prepared to perfection, with a silky texture that absorbs the rich, spicy sauce while offering a satisfying contrast.
The menu doesn’t just stop at savory dishes—desserts here are an equally delightful experience. The Sesame Balls are crispy on the outside with a sweet, gooey filling that’s the perfect way to end the meal. Pair that with a cup of hot jasmine tea, and you have an unforgettable meal from start to finish.
What truly elevates China Restaurant is the impeccable service. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, offering thoughtful recommendations based on your preferences. Their genuine passion for the cuisine shines through in their interactions, making the dining experience feel personal and memorable.
In addition, the restaurant's ambiance is perfect for any occasion. Whether you're celebrating a special event, enjoying a casual meal with friends, or having a quiet dinner with a loved one, the atmosphere is always welcoming. The combination of vibrant colors, soft lighting, and traditional Chinese art creates an inviting space where you can relax and savor your meal.
In conclusion, This China Restaurant is not just a place to eat; it’s a destination for those who appreciate authentic, well-crafted Chinese food in a warm, inviting atmosphere. The flavors are bold, the ingredients are fresh, and the experience is unforgettable. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, you’ll find yourself coming back again and again for the outstanding food and...
Read moreThis review is for the BTS pop-up, Cafe In The City. Reservations are prepaid at $60/person, advertised as "specially curated BTS favorite Korean dishes by Michelin star, Chef Back Sung Ook". You can try to do a walk-in as well.
While the selected dishes were definitely good choices, the execution on most of those options was rather poor. If we're going to be honest, it actually made Korean food look really bad and that's quite upsetting to me as I think Army deserves a better experience than that. This meal was a bad example of how absolutely delicious Korean food truly is. And at the price of $60 a head, the quality was unacceptable. You can find other mouthwatering options at half the cost.
Since there were four of us, we got to try most of the menu. We chose: -Drinks: Watermelon Punch (carbonated), Blueberry Lemonade, Iced Tea -Appetizers: Tteokbokki, Beef Cutlet Sandwich, Gimbap, Bibimguksu -Entrées: Galbijjim, Jajangmyeon, Kimchi Bokkeumbap, Korean Fried Chicken -Desserts: Bungeoppang, Korean Shaved Ice, Crispy Rice Ice Cream Sandwiches
While alcohol was not part of the prepaid reservation price, they could be ordered. The other drinks are included for free but if you wanted a refill on either the watermelon or blueberry, it was an additional $6/drink. Both were really sweet, so we didn't finish our drinks.
Of the appetizers, the Tteokbokki was the most disappointing. It was dry and almost burnt. It was like they stir-fried first, then added the sauce to it afterward, which is not how it's prepared. The Gimbap tasted like boxed supermarket sushi that's been sitting in the fridge all day. The deep fried veggies on top of it was actually good. The Beef Cutlet Sandwich tasted a little bland. The Bibimguksu was the winner— it was delicious!
Of the entrées, everything was simply average except the Galbijjim. It was the best dish of the four we ordered. The veggies were delicious and the meat literally fell off the bone and could be cut with a fork because it was that tender. Flavorful and delicious.
The desserts were super disappointing. None of it was good— NONE. The Bungeoppang was premade and refrigerated because it came out cold and stale. It should always be freshly made, hot and lightly crispy on the outside. With 4 Korean Shaved Ice, we expected fluffy bingsu snow, instead we got chunky Mexican street cart snow cone. The mochi was cold and hard as well, so it looks like that was also premade and put in the freezer.
We got two orders of Crispy Rice Ice Cream Sandwiches. The texture of the crispy rice was unfortunately not crispy and I didn't bother trying to include one of those dishes in the photo because the whipped cream and ice cream were melting by the time they brought it to us, so I don't know how long that one sat out. I love green tea anything but the overly bitter taste in the ice cream took over the whole thing and was not enjoyable.
The one good thing was the service. The servers kept coming back to check on us, constantly clearing the table and asking us how things were.
If you felt like you were missing out because it was too expensive, it's okay. You didn't miss out on anything. Instead, Yelp some Korean places in Vegas that serve the same kinds of foods and get the quality...
Read moreContracted SEVERE FOOD POISONING from the Salt & Pepper Shrimp here (confirmed by hospital), which led to days of severe pain and inability to do anything but try to hydrate, unable to leave the hotel room. After days of debilitating symptoms, when finally able to make it back to this location, we tried to talk to the manager Denise about this incident, to which she heavily thanked us for coming to her first (before reaching out to the Health Department) as she repeatedly lied and tried to censor us. She didn't offer us any compensation whatsoever and lied to us that we wouldn't be able to file a report that day because it was after 5pm, yet we were able to make 2 reports with Security that night after speaking to her, forcing her to submit her own report later that night AFTER our reports went into the records. Upon making our first report, we learned that someone (likely Denise, as she was the only person privy to the incident at that time) had tried to remove the record of the transaction in question, something that was completely suspicious. Luckily, we maintained our original receipt so they couldn't hide it. We were also told that we could file a report with Mandalay Bay Security over the phone since it was such a struggle to make it all the way back to their Security office, but the Manager of their Security, Fabreezio (sp?) forced us to walk all the way back just to file the report in person, which the other security guards admitted was at his discretion and NOT required policy. When we returned to follow-up with Denise, employees here claimed she wasn't available and had already went home so we had to speak with another manager. Once we told the other manager that Denise had lied to us before, Denise magically appeared and apparently hadn't gone home after all (again, incredibly suspicious) and suddenly was available again. When we asked why our transaction went missing after reporting the incident to only her, she called Security on us and tried to censor us so that other customers wouldn't hear about the poisoning and potential cover-up done by her and this establishment. Since we'd done absolutely nothing wrong, Security never even engaged us whatsoever and probably wondered why they were even called to begin with. This was an evil and inhumane reaction by a food establishment to get away with poisoning their customer. Security felt so bad, even THEY offered some compensation - in the form of a gift certificate for food at Mandalay Bay, ironically enough; Something that Denise at Noodle Shop couldn't even find the basic decency and/or professionalism of offering. Do not take your chances here or you may end up paying greatly for it! The cost may be a lot worse than your...
