Finished a concert at the House of Blue and was waiting for our ride home when we decided to stop by the Rhythm and Riffs Lounge to pass time. The cover band was playing and we sat down at the bar. We were greeted by a man with shoulder length silver hair (unfortunately never got his name), and ordered one drink and a tap water. He checked on us a few times, but we didn't need much since we were waiting for our ride.
Around 11:15pm we asked for the check because our ride was there, and he told us we couldn't check out because we didn't order two drinks, and it was a two drink minimum. We told him that there was no signage anywhere and he never mentioned anything when we initially ordered one drink and a water. He refused to give us the check and argued with us aggressively. We ended up paying what we owed and left.
Terrible experience, if there is no clear signage or verbal indication of a two drink minimum, then you can't hold our check hostage. Would not recommend the bar, but the...
Read moreI understand the waitress’ is overwhelmed. But she yelled at my father (someone who speaks predominantly Spanish) yelling at him “IM NOT TAKING ANY ORDERS” when he was simply asking if he was able to order something with his broken English. She didn’t even let him finish his question. I saw her then take an order from a girl, and I even asked that girl if she ordered something and she said yes. So her not taking any orders and being mad about it really didn’t make sense to me. My dad was soo nice about it and that’s what gets me upset. I get you’re overwhelmed but please don’t yell at my dad in such a disrespectful way. Also, she kept speaking English to him and the same girl that told me she ordered something, told me she spoke Spanish. So I don’t think that’s okay....
Read moreThere’s no consistency with the drinks or the staff. I ordered The Macallen 12 neat and the first couple of days the same bartender served em up nice. The 3rd day a Saturday I was greeted by a new group of bartenders and my scotch was served in a clear plastic cup; absolutely unacceptable. I’m at a bar in a resort casino not a frat party. In the mornings I was ordering Irish coffees and again the first couple of days were great! Coffee, Jameson, and Baileys. That Saturday the bartender offered me cream and sugar and said Baileys would be extra. WTH man this was also unacceptable. For $18 a cup I would have thought they’d make it right. On top of that the bar smelled like stale beer, lime and stagnant water. For a large resort style casino this bar was...
