I'm giving a very honest opinion here.
The service was fantastic. The waiter was very accommodating. When we ordered, he suggested some items that we would like that had the same additions as our request but cheaper. He explained the menu very well. He was attentive and saw to our needs. The atmosphere was vegas. Due to the seating area, you have people walking by the restaurant. They are loud, rude, and generally smell. It's vegas. Sitting there at the edge table was no different than sitting on the strip, except you weren't outside. The food was ehhhh. It was Italian STYLE, but was not Italian. It was bland. I ordered the eggplant Parmigiano It was plated very homely looking. No garnish, no real style I'd expect from a Vegas restaurant. The sauce was very bland. It had small slimy tomatoes chunks and had virtually no taste. The eggplant itself seemed right, but it was hastily built on each layer given the cheese was not melted except for the top piece (as if it was under a heat lamp to melt. The seasonings were non-existent. The pasta was WAY over done and did not taste good.
The other dish at the table was baked ziti with two meatballs. Thus was better. The ziti had the same sauce but there was some flavor to it. The ziti itself was WAY overcooked as well. The meatballs were terrible. They tasted as if they were burnt. They were not simmered in sauce for cooking (or werent for long, just smothered. They tasted exactly like SUBWAY SANDWHICH meatballs, which one one get if they are dying of hunger.
The last and very irritating thing is that this is the first and only italian restaurant I've ever been to that doesn't serve bread with butter or oil. When I asked for some, they had only garlic knits with garlic in the dough, so I declined.
It wasn't very spendy fir vegas. Two dishes with only water was 68$ way more than the food was worth but it's vegas so that's about average.
I would not go here ever again. I'll take olive garden (which is NOT Italian food) over this place. In fact if you could marry the service at this place with olive garden, you would have a hit...
Read moreWanted to share my Summerlin experience with you. After waiting an hour and half for a table for 5 , the food I received and the service were horrible. I have eaten at this location before with no instances, but last night was a comedy of errors. My party of 5 was not all there by the time we were seated, so 3 of us decided to order dinner. Tortellini, Bucatelli Carbonara and penne Vodka. When the food was ready , your expeditor Mimmo? literally slammed the plates on the table in front of us. Dropped and ran. Tortellini alfredo was very watery and carbonara tasted like hot milk. Tried finding your manager but he was outside in front of restaurant on the phone, same place we left him the whole time we were waiting. Finally I spot him in the store and voice my complaint. he said food will be remade. Well 20 minutes later, I track him down again to find out how long a remake takes. I personally had stopped eating my meal because I came with my family to eat and not eat alone. The new food finally arrives. alfredo and carbonara were so thick with with cheese it smelled and tasted horrible. By now my other guests arrive to sit for 15 - 20 minutes before waiter comes to check on table and taketheir order. We asked him to take carbonara off check and i would not eat my vodka sauce because now its cold. Rodolpho, the waiter, didnt even offer to heat it up. Tortellini was eaten only because the person I was with needed to eat and after waiting 1 1/2 hrs for a table and another 45 minutes to eat they ate the food. The waiter takes the other guests food and never returns to table with garlic knots, sends busboy with water and we never see the waiter again. Once again expo person drops food on table and leaves. Never comes back till time for check. We order 1 cappuccino, comes out cold. Get the bill for 2 dinners, 3 soda and 1 cappuccino - $62.00. Only 1 meal was consumed off of that check. 60$ for 1 pasta dinner, coffee cold, and service horrible. My other guests were not happy with their food with there food either, but it didnt matter to anyone of importance in your restaurant. Won't be returning to this...
Read moreThe food was a bit expensive. Our total came to about $100 for two people, and that was with only non-alcoholic drinks. I ordered the chicken piccata which was an average sized portion, there was just nothing particularly memorable about it. For that price, I expected something more impressive in either quality or creativity.
Our waiter, Damian, was excellent. He was warm, professional, and made us feel well taken care of throughout the entire meal. He checked in at the right times, kept a friendly attitude, all of which made the experience enjoyable.
Unfortunately, the hostess gave off the opposite energy. When we walked in, she barely acknowledged us. There was no greeting or eye contact. She quietly grabbed two menus, led us to a table, placed the menus down, and walked away. It felt awkward and unwelcoming, almost like we were bothering her just by showing up.
I also noticed how she treated the guests at the table next to us. They politely asked if they could sit further inside the restaurant. She quickly said no, and when they asked why, she gave a vague response about it being policy. Her tone was cold and uninterested, and it came across as dismissive rather than helpful. It was clear she didn’t want to be there and wasn’t trying to create a positive first impression.
Overall, the food was okay but overpriced for what we got. The service from Damian was the best part of the night and made the experience better. However, the poor attitude from the hostess really took away from the atmosphere and left us with a...
