White Castle — Restaurant in Paradise

I went to this White Castle for the first time ever (they don't exist California). First impressions were a huge let-down here. Upon going in, the place seemed very dirty (Employee work stations were not maintained, food everywhere on floor and tables) and the dinning room appeared a bit run down and dirty. (one lady had her 30 suitcases piled on the table next to her, the floor looks like it hadn't been mopped in weeks, tables are dirty, etc.)

Despite that, we decided to bite the bullet and wait in line anyways. The employees practically ignored the line inside. The couple at the front of the line left after waiting, the couple in front of me (second in line) waited for over 30 minutes and then left, eventually 20 minute after they left, we did too.

There seemed to be three crew members, one making the food, one doing other things, and the cashier whom was bagging orders. The entire time, all three were just chit-chatting amongst each other barely doing their jobs. No rush or care for anything. No re-assurance to the customer that they would be with them shortly, etc. They just stood there and talked and ever now and then she (cashier) would hand out a order as the lines piled up from both inside and outside the restaurant. I've worked fast food with a much smaller crew and twice the customer load before, never got that bad. Perhaps if the cashier moved her legs quicker than her mouth, they wouldn't be so backed up and busy.

All in all, bad first time experience here.

If you're going for your first white castle experience, avoid this place. Go to another one (I went to the one on Fremont and 4th) WAYYYYYYYYY BETTER, and THERE IS PARKING nearby. (Plus they got souvenirs and the place is cleaner...

So…

I’ve went to this locations NUMEROUS TIMES SINCE 2016. And now since moving here I KNOW what I requested was possible.

I ordered a 20 sack and fries (I guess the rude window attendant didn’t hear the fries) and HALF without pickles and onions and HALF with everything plus cheese. So why was I charged for 13 cheese burgers and didn’t receive an accurate order twice.

First time there were some with cheese that should have been plain (because I was over charged) and some that had ONLY pickles. Well I addressed this only to be handed back burgers full of onions.

So I addressed this as well only to be told “that’s how they do them. And the manager would say the same” and showing them it was full of onions. Although the burger full of pickles was empty of onions and going during the day leaves me with minimal onions. So…

I’m not sure if the night time/late night shift is incompetent but I don’t have these issues at the location near sunset station.

I’m honestly afraid to eat them because if you’d purposely stuff my burger full of onions after you shown you’re clearly capable of doing it without, I don’t know what else may have been snuck in.

Although any White Castle in Las Vegas is an over priced tourist attraction (can’t order online & the prices are higher than EVERYWHERE NATIONWIDE.), I’d at least expect decent service and to get what you ordered. And I even tipped cause I expected to get the service I got before but I was wrong

Either go on the strip or in Henderson if you have to go to a White Castle in Las Vegas.

Otherwise save it til you get home.

I live in California so every time I visit Las Vegas I hit up White Castle. This location I found seemed to be easier since I can hit drive thru. The location on the strip is really busy, my experience on this location after 3 times would be the foods great 5 stars. The atmosphere I went with 2 stars because you will see lots of homeless & shady people, but sometimes they can be entertaining. The service 1 star which would be my reason of a 1 star review, reason be all 3 times ordering you always get somebody that doesn’t like to work & are rude which does happen quite often at a fast food drive thru. But what took the cake is I ordered a sack of burgers plain, it’s 10 cheeseburger sliders plain meaning only meat & cheese which I also said. When I got to the window the dude even asked what I ordered so I told him & he said oh ok well next time you need to say plain but it’s all good, then a young looking version of miss pearly from Friday after next came to the window with a nasty attitude telling me I need to go park & it’s going to be 10 minutes. So we go park & enjoyed the atmosphere lol 10 minutes goes by the wife gets down & the bag is on the counter my wife gets it in hand & miss pearly still has more to say. My wife told her we did order plain, 2 other orders were messed up too she tells miss pearly that the dude is messing up. He laughed & said blame it on me, he probably was just high, if you eat here don’t worry about him but I’d worry about miss pearly spiting in the food. Hit up White Castle in Vegas but go to a different location I think I’ll try Fremont...
