My friend & I dined on Easter Sunday & had a wonderful experience. It was less lively likely due to the holiday, but the space still felt intimate & we didn’t notice the emptiness at all. Our server, Christina, was impeccable. Her knowledge of the menu was superb & her ability to not just list the ingredients or what was written on the menu & instead describe the flavors & nuances each dish was such a treat. Her recommendations were spot on as well!
We ordered the spicy clams which Christina recommended, & we were blown away. The clams were cooked to perfection (& cleaned very well - if you know, you know) & the broth it was served in had the perfect level of spice from the ‘Nduja. We were practically drinking the broth from the bowl, it was so good! We also ordered the baked feta which was so creamy & wrapped in crispy filo pastry that was perfectly complimented by the sweetness of the honeycomb on top. We also ordered the handmade breads, the star of which was the biscuits paired with the honey butter.
Both the potato leek soup & the French onion soup were full of flavor. Great texture for both! The bread in the French onion soup still had some crunch to it which was delightful.
We finished things off with the hot chocolate & lavender-sugar beignets, an espresso, & a delicious, floral, & lightly spiced cocktail. What a...

For the main course, we tried the scallops and the duck. The scallops were the star of the show, truly mind-blowing. With the duck came some pierogi and sour cream sauce that reminded me of food cooked for me by a Babushka (little old lady) in Eastern Europe. Sorry Babushka, but Pine Cone Ridge outdid you here! The flavors were all wonderful with the pierogi, and the duck melts in your mouth.
For dessert we tried the whisky cake, and once again the chef truly impressed. It was perfectly spongy, with rich caramel flavors, nwhile the pecans were roasted to just the right consistency. The in-house ice cream was creamy and refreshing as well.
Overall, this restaurant deserves more than five stars, they were incredible! Manuel the manager was a star. And, of course, highest compliments...
Read moreI am a fan of Bill White's restaurants but felt that this one did not quite measure up in terms of overall value. The place has a good location with a nice balcony overlooking Main Street for the rare days when it's warm enough to sit outside. We had the Tofu appetizer which was excellent and had a surprisingly pleasing texture. The tomato panzanella was nothing to write home about. My wife had the seabass as her entree which was outstanding; the best thing we ate that night. I ordered the flank steak which was overdone and not particularly flavorful, although the cucumber salad it was resting on was nicely balanced with a good combination of flavors. The Baked Alaska for dessert was quite good.
The total bill for one appetizer, one salad, two entrees, and dessert with tip came to $250. We recently had a meal in Chartres, France in which our entire family of 7 had a meal at a comparable level of quality for less than that. If Pine Cone Ridge wants to go on charging these prices they need to step...
