Nestled in our neighborhood, this unassuming burger joint exudes charm and simplicity. If you're searching for an affordable dining experience that doesn't skimp on flavor, this place should be on your radar. The ambiance is quaint, making it feel like a cozy home away from home. The no-frills decor and friendly staff add to the inviting atmosphere. It's the type of place where you can relax and savor your meal without any pretentiousness. Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the burgers. Each bite is a delightful journey through layers of flavor. The patties are perfectly grilled, boasting a satisfying char on the outside and juicy tenderness within. They use quality ingredients, and it's evident in every mouthwatering bite. The menu is refreshingly simple, focusing on what they do best: burgers. One of their standout features is affordability. In an era where dining out can be a strain on your wallet, this place offers a budget-friendly alternative without compromising on taste. You'll leave with a full belly and a happy wallet. Whether you're a fan of classic cheeseburgers, adventurous enough to try their specialty creations, or prefer a vegetarian option, there's something for everyone. They even offer a variety of condiments and toppings to customize your burger to your liking. And don't forget to order a side of their perfectly crispy, hand-cut fries – they're a delightful companion to your burger. It's not just about the food; it's about the experience. The staff here goes above and beyond to ensure you have a memorable visit. They're genuinely friendly and always ready to provide recommendations or accommodate special requests. In a world of fancy dining establishments and overpriced gourmet burgers, this local gem stands out for its affordability, simplicity, and the sheer deliciousness of its offerings. So, if you're in the mood for an excellent burger that won't break the bank, don't miss out on this hidden treasure. It's a must-visit for burger enthusiasts and anyone looking for a satisfying, wallet-friendly meal.

For about $8 you can get a single cheeseburger, fries, and a drink. A drive thru quarter pounder meal costs more than that. Despite constant mixups with orders delivered to the wrong table, the food arrived quickly. I would have to guess J's Burgers is trying to emulate the Double-Double folks with the style and ingredients on the burgers. Includes shredded lettuce, tomato, and onion. The difference is J's uses their own sauce, which is tasty, but a bit watery. (makes a mess by the time you get to the end of the burger). The fries are shoe string thin, way too greasy, and don't taste very good, just like the other guys. Limited soda fountain drinks. They also offer kids meals, chicken sandwiches, onion rings, and milkshakes. Convenient location on Spring Street with a tiny parking lot shared with the shoe store everyone loves to hate. Open late-ish compared to other locally owned places.

This place is like one of those hidden gems among the small burger joints that you stumble upon and once you taste the difference - you're hooked and you come back for more. They have the tastiest freshest burger and fries I have had for a longetime. They make everything fresh and from scratch. No Frozen patties used and you can definitely tell in in the taste of the Ortega burger Combo Special- that's what I had. It came with a fresh basket of fries like IN-n-Out style but with a more generous portion and a drink for a bargain price of $9.95 plus tax. The burger size was certainly on the big size. I'm coming back for sure.

Good burgers as usual, but minus one star for service with an apparent two-faced, bi-polar attitude. We waited about 5 minutes before anybody noticed us. Cashier finally came out of the kitchen after chatting with the cook, and was very pleasant when we first came in, but after we paid for our order, she went back into the kitchen and was talking and laughing with the cook again. Not a word about where to wait, just that she would let us know when it was ready. When she came back in a few minutes, and saw we were still standing there, and rather abrasively barked at us to "Hey! wait outside, we can't just have people waiting around in here. Covid, you know." After stepping outside, we saw a customer who had been sitting outside at a patio table come in to request a drink refill and the cashier not only served him immediately, but chatted with him for 2-3 minutes after. A warning to all: if you order takeout here, be prepared to step outside IMMEDIATELY after ordering or you will get chewed out. The cashier was pleasant again when she brought our order, spouting compliments, but that was little recompense for her attitude earlier. I agree with supporting local small business, but I do NOT agree with poor treatment of customers, and attempting to patronize them afterward as if...

There was only one other person in the restaurant waiting for food and it still took well over 10 minutes. First and foremost I'm Hispanic born and raised in California 4th generation so I speak English very very well, and this is not my real name because everybody in Paso would know who I was.

As I was watitng, then eating my meal I noticed something every time a person came to order and pay, if they were Brown and looked Hispanic and spoke English the guy would tilt the screen and point to the tip area to get a tip out of that customer.

If a customer came in speaking only Spanish he would tilt the screen, and instead of asking them for a tip he would point to the "skip" on the screen, so they didn't have to tip! Why the double standards? And this was not just a few people it happened to, there were 9 people that I saw this happen at the beginning of the lunch rush, and it happened every single time. 5 of them or asked to skip the tip.

French fries were not that good, they were greasy and burnt.

Double standard restaurant with substandard fries. I hadn't been here in a while and was craving a burger, now I will make sure I tell all of my friends and coworkers about this place and how the double standard exists. Find another burger...
