Leo Leo Gelato Scoop Shop — Restaurant in Paso Robles

UPDATE JULY 6TH: Niccolo, the owner, emailed a reply apologizing for closure of the store. I was expecting a standard "I'm sorry that......", but to Niccolo's credit, he gave a heartfelt apology and expalantion; truly a man who cares about his product and business. We will not be able to give them a try on this trip, but next time we're in Paso, we'll stop by. FIRST REVIEW: First time in Paso Robles it was suggested to go to Leo Leo and after reading the nice reviews we made a plan to go. We walked from the park to rbe shop and arrived around 8:15pm. Could not locate the shop so we asked and was told that they were CLOSED ALL DAY. Okay fine if you were closed all day, but could you at least put in on your website or leave an outgoing message when someone calls in? We were very disappointed. I ate the Gelato from Leo Leo practically every day last year, and it NEVER got old! They have a vast array of delicious flavours and I love tasting through at least three different ones each time I go into Powell's sweet shop. The standards (Chocolate, Vanilla, Stracciatella, Sea Salt Caramel) are always a go to if I'm feeling overwhelmed with my tasty options. On the hot days, like we've been having this summer, the fresh Raspberry Sorbetto is my favorite. If I'm lucky, I'll come across a Sorbetto flavour mixed with chocolate shavings, or a hint of basil, which sounds odd at first, but I definitely recommend giving their Strawberry Basil Sorbetto a try if you find yourself so lucky as to come by it. First we thought we were in the wrong place, as the Lofts looked pretty closed up. We did not fret, as we did see the very nice lady behind the Gelato counter waiting for people to come by. My friend and I picked up a couple of scoops and headed out as they were close to closing time.
