Poor service and atmosphere. Since the moment we arrived, the bartender and staff were rude and unfriendly. We walked up to the bar and within seconds the bartender says, "if you don't know what you want you need to go sit down" - mind you the place was almost empty and we were not taking up any valuable real estate while trying to decide what to get; we were also not dressed down or ruining the atmosphere in any way. After being rushed, one of my friends tried to order a round of fireball, and the bartender then says "we don't have any of that junky stuff here, if you want some top shelf whiskey let me know." I should also point out that Paso isn't a fancy town, and this establishment is across the street from the city park, and is literally right behind a Sinclair gas station - not exactly the epitome of a fancy location or ambiance. In the end, my friend who tried to order the drinks left the bar, and while walking out said something to one of the other employees about the bartender being rude. The employee told my friend that the bartender is a great guy and that's just the atmosphere around here. I'll be taking my...
Read moreWe are locals and went as a group. We decided to sit with another group of people, some of whom we did not know. The restaurant forced us to create one tab for everyone in the section though we did not know everyone. We asked them not to, but they would not create a tab for our small group. My husband and another 2 friends tried going up to the bar to order drinks separately. There were so many staff members standing around doing nothing but visiting with one another. They would not sell anyone a drink separate from the combined tab. They even told one person that we needed to learn how to Venmo each other so we could pay as one big group and then pay each other back. We are a group of locals that will not be going back unless their ridiculous payment policy changes. I have tried calling 3 times to speak with a manager, but no one is ever there and no one ever calls me back. They could have made at least 3x the money if they had allowed us to pay our own bill. Now they've lost money and future customers. How sort sighted...
Read moreWe were staying at The Piccolo hotel so when we found out there was a rooftop bar we had to try it. It’s was 97 degrees on a Saturday night so we were the only people up there.
There were lots of staff members and they didn’t seem overly anxious to see us.
We ordered spicy margaritas and man they were definitely spicy and delicious. We also ordered a charcuterie board and a flatbread. The charcuterie came out quick and it was rather pathetic looking. The cheese was hard and flavorless. It literally felt like a bunch of dice. The nuts were a ton of walnuts that were just a cheap filler. The crackers (if that’s what they were) looked like communion wafers. We actually sent the cheese tray back and canceled the flatbread because we were afraid it would be a frozen pizza. The presentation was terrible, the figs looked like they were old and petrified.
We ran into another couple in the elevator and they also said their charcuterie was terrible. For $31,...
