I’m not one to leave poor reviews, however, the "McAlister’s Deli" in Pelham has los my business. I’m sure this isn’t a huge concern to them as it is for my wife and myself, as it was “our weekly lunch date spot”. Fortunately, I will be saving roughly $152 a month from dining their (until we find our next spot). To those whom care; yesterday we went to the deli after bowling at “Oak Mountain Lanes” and decided since it’s my birthday, we’d use the birthday McAlister’s gift card her parents had got me (shows how much we enjoy eating their). While at the check out line, I swipe the gift card and it causes the machine to "reboot" multiple times. The young lady whom I won't mention publically told me to "use the chip". Well, of-course this gift card did not have one as I showed her. Continually, she attempts two more times and finally gets a manager to assist her. As the manager starts to assist us all, my wife re-assures her that it is a gift card to eliminate the time and effort spent trying. Well, what do you know? The gift card indeed was a factor. The original cashier blurts out very defensively; "Why ain't you tell me that!?". It's quite obvious she didn't want to be noticed by her manager on not knowing the gift card process. In which, I understand. Therefore, I didn't call her out on it, I just asked for the card back and left. Lastly, I will say this is my only negative experience in the past near year and a half of eating their, this was just an unfortunate situation. Happy...
Read moreThe last visits have been issues with the chef salad, not prepared as normaly has been. (Embarrassed because I was with a client)I had been going for years with family and friends, but now it's getting to the point of maybe not wasting my time or money. Get it together because it used to be a great place to go and invite and have business meetings with clients. What was not good even though I discreetly let them know about the issue and was absolutely ignored. The cashier at the time acted like she did not know what to do. She could have at least tried to get mgrs. attention, or maybe she did, but nothing was done to correct the order. I paid for the meals that was ordered and the salad was not eaten and returned to the counter so they could see what was served and with out any staff member trying to correct the order they just took the plate and no one but the young man that brings the food out and cleans the table let me know he apologized and said the manager would be out and he or she never came out. They were not busy that day, so no excuse for...
Read moreOrdered online on Saturday and went up there when it said food was going to be ready. They hadn’t even started on it. They were backed up with probably over 10 customers. Sat there for 30 minutes and when I tried to cancel little BOY behind the counter said he would help me in a second and ignored me until I finally just decided to leave. The “woman” that was supposed to be helping him didn’t even look human or speak to anybody. Your staff is a joke and it’s hilarious that anybody would think it’s okay to keep anybody sitting there for over 30 minutes to never receive anything. Also staff lied to every online order saying kitchen was still working on it when they weren’t even doing them. If I could give this place 0 stars just for the poor...
