Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Peoria

I have been coming to cold stone for years and have always loved it. Tonight i came to this location because it was near by where i was. I looked forward ALL WEEK to coming to get ice cream after a long and rough week. They told me they no longer carry cherry pie filling (what? every other store has it). So i picked an alternative (cheesecake fantasy) they handed it to me in a cone and the ice cream was PURE SOUP. It was a mushy wet soupy mess. I told her i didn’t want this because it tasted TERRIBLE. She rolled her eyes and continued to charge my husbands card. I didn’t want it anymore and she still charged it. So she told me to pick something else. I didn’t want anything else, but she seemed very annoyed and so i pick an ice cream with no topping and just asked for it in a cone. She didn’t offer to refund the difference in price and sent me out the door with a very very VERY burnt waffle cone. Now i am pissed and won’t eat it cause it tastes terrible.

Sometimes a mom with 3 kids who has had a very very long and tiring week just needs a kind smile and understanding when she doesn’t want a soupy cone of ice cream.

Went to this cold stone today and was so disappointed. Walked in and there was not one person in the store, we weren’t greeted and the woman was just making an ice cream over on the counter. When she was finally done she asked us what we wanted. I ordered first and after she handed it to me my boyfriend asked for his ice cream in a cone and she told him no and to just pick a size cup about 5 times before he just said ok. Halfway through making his signature creation (which she had to lookup how to make) 2 other employees walked out from the back to help the rest of the people who later walked into the store. One of which who wasn’t wearing a mask (sign on the door says must wear a mask)? Also may I note that none of them were wearing gloves?? Is that... standard here??? The glass was so dirty and the workers were extremely rude. They handed my boyfriend his ice cream sideways making it melt all over the side of the cup and the counter. Don’t know if this employee was new or just didn’t have any idea what the heck was going on but she was an older woman who looked like she’d rather be somewhere else than there. If this is the norm I’m surprised the department of health hasn’t closed them down yet... Y U C K. This...

I have been a cold stone loyal customer for years. I always get the big everybody size which is about $16.99. So, I showed up to this location for the first time at 9:50 pm on a Wednesday night. When I got inside, I saw 3 workers and none of them said hi or anything! I asked aren’t you guys open until 10 pm that’s what it says on Google and technically your sign also says open. They looked at each other then one of them with a rude attitude said what do you want? I said I only want Banana ice cream & Chocolate and nothing else to be added. She said I have to mix it can’t do it side by side and I was like I always get it side by side at different locations. She said nothing then she charged me $19.99 and when I asked normally I get this at other locations for $16.99, again with a very rude attitude she said that’s at other locations this is our price and here’s also a tip option!!! She made me feel like I’m the worst person in the world if I wasn’t going to tip. I run a business myself but whoever is running this location needs to remind their employees to be polite and know how to do customer service. I would never ever come back to this...
