This is a nice Mexican place I suppose. It is almost imperceptibly different from most of the other Mexican places in Peoria. The menu has 1,000 options that all taste and look nearly identical. The only differentiation being the meat they stuff the items with (chicken, beef, or steak [which IS also beef for those wondering], and sometimes pork). Fortunately, they all follow a blueprint which more or less works. I can't help get the feeling that this is more or less a side effect of a (possibly deserved) stereotype of the Peoria palette. Not to worry, nothing here will burn you or in any way excite for that matter but it is good food if that isn't what you're wanting. If you've eaten at one of these places you've basically eaten at them all. I know I sound a little jaded but you either understand what I'm saying or you haven't had real, good Mexican. Also, the top dollar item at these cookie cutter places is ALWAYS the fajitas and every one of these places give you a nice size plate of tough meat (even the plate does not vary between these fo-mex places) but then they pair that with 3 tiny tortillas. I've been trying to figure out how they expect this to work out since the first time I ordered one. I come to the conclusion that they must expect you to just gnaw on the grissly meat and condiments with no tortilla for half of your meal. For $15, why not just give us 6 tortillas (the correct amount) from the get go? The only explaination I can think of is that they are afraid that doing that will cause more people to order that and split it causing them to lose another potential order buy even that doesn't really seem to work out because they are 2x as much as half the menu items anyway. Feel free to copy and paste tgis review in any fo-mexi...
Read moreWorst customer service that I have had in many of years. Ordered take out and the order was wrong, called to correct and was hung up on repeatedly by the same worker. Was told that there was no manager and that I could complain tomorrow. I called 7 times, same result. We eventually drove back to return the order and received the same service. No one would talk to us and we were told that the person we talked to had left for the evening. I asked for their managers contact info and their corporate contact, yet I received the same service as though no one spoke English or could assist me. But yet my money spoke perfect language. I asked to return my order and speak to someone in charge. I was told to speak to "Jose", and was given a number to "Jose", who also pretended to not understand me and couldn't assist my complaint when I called him.
This place will NEVER ..... EVER... receive any patronage from me or my family. I suggest that there are people there that can ... and are willing to assist the customer, and not given the fools run around..... and or the pretended language barrier, because our order was taken in perfect English.
Please eat...
Read moreMe, my son, his GF & my grand-daughter went to this restaurant for the first time last night after searching on-line for a Mexican restaurant with good reviews as well as asking my co-workers about it and I left VERY DISAPPIONTED!!! On-line it says the resturant closed at 9:30PM! We arrived at 8:30PM! We were given menus and seated! While waiting for a waiter/waitress to come to our table, I took my grand-daughter to the restroom! When we got back to the table no-one had come to take our order yet! Even tho the place was practically empty and I didn't see any new faces after returning from the bathroom! After waiting an additional 5plus minutes, a waiter came to our table (pencil and pad in hand) and ask us what we wanted but said the kitchen was closed! I politely took my grand-daughters hand and walked out of the restaurant! I will never attempt business with this restaurant again! We could have been informed of this coming through the door! That was VERY unprofessional and a waste of my time! This restaurant gets zero stars (it only got 1 because that's the...
