I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. For a chain establishment, it remarkably captures the essence of a mom-and-pop eatery, which I consider a definite plus. The service was average; it wasn't exceptional, but it also wasn't lacking. I did find the prices to be a bit higher compared to places like Popeyes, which could be a consideration for some diners. One aspect I would have liked to see improved is the portion of fries served with each meal; it felt a bit lacking.

The real standout for me was the milkshake. It struck the perfect balance, avoiding the typical overly sweetened taste found in many shakes; instead, it offered a delightful, well-rounded flavor that I appreciated. The menu itself is straightforward, showcasing a limited selection of options, which I personally find appealing—sometimes less is more.

I plan to return in the future to try the mac and cheese, as I've heard great things about it. Given its location around Center City, you encounter a diverse mix of patrons, which can be both good and bad, depending on your perspective. It’s certainly an experience worth having, regardless of the...

Dave's Hot Chicken - Downtown Philadelphia Location

I'm in Philadelphia for work this week, and every time I visit, Dave's Hot Chicken is a must. This was my first time at the downtown location, and it definitely did not disappoint.

I placed my order through the app to earn rewards, then walked in to dine. The restaurant was pretty busy, but I found a seat and waited about 15-20 minutes for my order. One thing I always appreciate about Dave's locations is the vibrant artwork on the walls--this one had that same signature style I've seen at other spots.

A nice touch is the TV screen that displays orders as they're ready, so there's no need to keep checking at the counter. Once my order was up, I grabbed it, picked up some condiments, and sat back down to enjoy.

The food was, as always, amazing. I stuck with my usual--Extra Hot--though one of these days I'll gather the courage to try the Reaper .

Overall, a great experience. I'll definitely be back next time...

Came to Dave’s Hot Chicken expecting a quick bite — left questioning my spice tolerance, my life choices, and whether I’ve ever truly lived before this.

I got the “Hot” level because I like to think I’m tough… I was not. That chicken humbled me in ways my ex never could. Still, it was DELICIOUS. Perfectly crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor that hits you before the heat does. Then the heat hits… and keeps hitting.

Fries were seasoned like they’ve been studying flavor for years. Dave’s sauce? Probably what they serve in heaven. Staff was cool, vibes were solid, and my mouth is still recovering, but I’ll be back — probably at a lower spice level, and definitely with more napkins.

Highly recommend if you love spice, flavor, and a good laugh at your...

I got just one slider and a side of fries for myself the others did a slider, tender and fries. It’s good I just probably won’t go back it’s not my favorite chicken sandwich. The seasoning on the chicken is on everything like the fries etc. and it’s like a sweetness to it that’s not my favorite but still was an okay sandwich. My little brother really wanted to try it out because of tiktok lol. They also don’t have any other sides like ketchup or ranch they only got Dave’s sauce. It gets pretty packed in there because it’s small especially up at the front where you give your order and wait to get your order but even with it being so busy the workers were all so nice.
