Updated review: It stinks to have to do this, but I have to update my review. I’ve been here many times and I live right around the corner, so this place is a regular stop for me for lunch or brunch. They cancelled dinner service, apparently because it just wasn’t busy enough and their main business was on Wednesday nights for half-priced burgers. I can’t be too mad about that because that’s more about sustaining the business than anything else. I’m still a little upset about that though, since that really limits when I’m able to get a meal here. My main concern, however, was that I was told today that I had to order before getting a table while I was here with my girlfriend. I understand that they want it to be fair for everyone when it’s crowded so that no one jumps the line, but this is illogical. If you come as a couple or in a group, are you just going to order and then notice that you don’t actually have a table to eat your food on? Change the seating so that if you’re staying to eat then you seat yourself first. That way you know beforehand if you will actually get a table. If not, then you wait. If I order something like heuvos rancheros, I don’t want to be standing around with it before I get a table. Fix this issue and I’ll definitely be back.
Original review: I’ve been here a couple dozen times and I don’t think I’ve had a bad meal. I’ve tried a good number of things on the menu but I keep coming back to their burgers. Every Wednesday they have half priced burgers, and their falafel burger is incredible. Expect to spend around $30 plus tip for two people, which is great for what you get. However, always look at their specials before ordering from their main menu. It almost always has something interesting and worth ordering. Today I got the chicken and waffles and my girlfriend got the churro waffles. They were perfect. Large portions and cooked perfectly. The chicken was golden brown and crispy on the outside but tender and juicy on the inside. The waffles were crispy but fluffy and absolutely amazing. Probably the best meal I’ve had here so far. It’s my go-to place for a semi-quick meal since I live right...
Read moreTerrible—don’t bother visiting. My friend and I are from out of town and looked up “best breakfast restaurants in Philadelphia.” We decided to try Miles Table based on the positive reviews. I don’t know where these positive reviews came from. The food was tasteless and the coffee had a sour aftertaste, almost like sweat. The restaurant is also still operating under bizarre COVID precautions that other restaurants are not—which significantly dampers the atmosphere and experience. You order your food from a chalkboard that doesn’t have photos or details of your order (sides, flavors, etc.) and then pay before receiving the food at a counter in the empty lobby. We thought the cafe was going out of business when we entered, because there is literally nothing inside the cafe other than a counter where you pay. There was also only one waiter working in the entire cafe, and two parties behind my friend and I—so we felt rushed to decide on our order without being able to ask questions. Then our food was brought to us outside, in a black plastic bag and cheap to-go containers. We had to unpack our food ourselves and eat with plastic utensils at tiny, dirty plastic table outside. Again—this was very odd, because other restaurants are not operating under such protocols. If we hadn’t already paid for our food, I would have asked for a refund. Such a disappointing end to our Philly trip. There are plenty of other cute cafes in the area—do yourself a favor and...

Solid spot and many veggie friendly options! This is a small area but it has decent amount of seating inside and out. You order in a queue at the front and then food is delivered to your table as it's prepared. It's a pretty popular place from what I could tell by the crowd, but still the food came out at a reasonable time. We sat inside as a table was just clearing, but I think the vibe carries outdoors as well, so there's no FOMO just the elements to weather.
I ordered their grilled cheese, loaded with veggies and an ice chai. Also they had this pesto - so good! I have been trying to recreate the pesto and I still can't get it down to how good it was from this place! Major pesto envy! It's not part of the grilled cheese dish but I asked for the pesto on the side (seeing it as an option from a different menu item) and the workers were happy to add it to my order (=]).
Parking is street only, but it's not too hard to find. I think we circled for like 5 minutes before grabbing a spot.
I'll be coming back for more and definitely will try to get my hands on that pesto recipe - seriously you...
