ReAnimator Coffee — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Best coffee in Philly. JUST NOT AT THE CLARION St (13th and Wharton) LOCATION. I've been drinking reanimator coffee since late 2018. I used to go to the one on 47th & Pine all the time and as they opened new locations, I patronized all of them. It's just something about the Clarion St location that I keep getting bad cups of coffee. I'm not speaking about taste, the drip coffee is almost always lukewarm!

Today, I asked the lady before I purchased my coffee was it hot or lukewarm. Her response was "yes it's hot, those things tend to stay that way" in a manner like I'm slow or don't understand. If she said, let me check since this batch has been sitting for a bit, that would have been much better. But she chose to be snarky.

It's cool. I won't be coming back to this location anymore. The funny thing is, I'm probably one of their best tippers as I almost ALWAYS tip $7-10 per cup of coffee that I get. Most of the reanimator coffee workers know me by face...

We have been coming to ReAnimator Coffee ever since we moved to Northern Liberties 2 years ago. Having a fur baby that likes to be with us at all times, this was our favorite bagel and coffee shop and a wonderful Saturday and Sunday morning routine during our morning walk with her. Today, we decided to go in and found out that they are no longer making their delish sourdough bagels with homemade cream cheese! We are so crushed! Their coffee is still incredible, the vibes are cozy and welcoming but sadly we will need to go elsewhere for our morning breakfast date. The bagel is not homemade nor warm and they can no longer do special cream cheese. With so many bagel spots to choose from in the city, having the sourdough was something totally unique...

I absolutely love ReAnimator!! I go in FAR too often. The coffee is really great, but it's 100% the hospitality brings me back several times a week. I desperately need to start making my own coffee at home, but I just can't resist. We have several reputable coffee shops in our neighborhood, but we never ever go anywhere other than ReAnimator. The other shops don't even come close to the friendliness of the baristas here. They're so super outgoing, they remember me and my order, and they genuinely make me feel like we've formed a nice little bond.
