Very disappointed in this most recent visit. This was at the 2770 W. Peoria Ave. location in Phoenix, Arizona. While the food was adequate, the employees and management were sadly lacking in professionalism and were reluctant to accept responsibility for what are actually illegal actions.
While there, we observed a female In-N-Out employee move her vehicle from farther out in the parking lot to park it in a designated handicapped parking spot directly in front of the main entry. The female employee then went inside the restaurant and resumed her duties preparing food. She had no obvious disabilities, but that doesnāt necessarily mean she didn't suffer in some other way. Upon further investigation, however, we noticed her vehicle had no handicapped license plate or placard of any kind.
As we were leaving, we decided to bring the incident to the attention of the restaurant manager. He identified himself as Isaac and informed us that it is the restaurantās policy at night to have employees park closer to the store. He also confirmed the female employee has no qualifying disability and he made no effort to have her vacate the handicapped parking spot so that patrons who actually ARE handicapped could use it. Out of curiosity, we waited outside for about twenty minutes to see if the vehicle would be moved. It was not.
Why does this upset me so? Because I personally know more than a few people with disabilities that could use that convenient parking place. I know veterans who served our country with distinction and who paid a very heavy price resulting in a serious disability. I know people with serious illnesses and/or birth defects that NEED the convenience of a close parking space and wider access to the vehicle in which to be able to get in and out of their vehicle safely.
And for a manager to completely blow us off because it's more convenient for his employees to park closer and ILLEGALLY in a designated handicapped parking place is totally irresponsible!
I used to love In-N-Out. Not anymore. Iāll dine elsewhere and will recommend to my friend that they should also refrain from any establishment that could care less about people with...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you are a native or have traveled to the west coast of the USA you probably have heard of In-n-Out burger. I have been here countless times throughout Arizona at many locations. Iām probably here at least once a month. Today marked a special day for me. Having to be gluten free I have been getting their protein style cheese burger or grill cheese for several years. I have had a couple times where one of the other locations had messed up my order to go and I communicated about it and the company had done and excellent job at making amends; hence why I keep coming back. Today, Pamela saw me sitting at the bar waiting for my order. It wasnāt that busy and I was waiting a little while longer than comfortable but I never said anything. Pamela comes up to me and asks me and another client what number we were to push to get our order out faster. It really tells me 2 things, management really has a great head on their shoulders and that Pamela knows that she is valued because she values the clients in these doors. This post isnāt about me or the fact that my order might have been what some people might say as ā a long wait time,ā but more so a thank you for being a service that I enjoy coming too with fresh food and unbeatable...
