Planned to stop by here during the dj set, but slept in a little late after my nightshift and we were coming from Gilbert. However, my friend and I loved the vibes. Friendly and inviting. I got the banana flavored special and my friend got an iced mocha. Both were refreshing and delicious. We also treated ourselves to lemon sugar and chocolate chip cookies from brown butter bakery. Our taste bud reactions were not hidden, and I’m pretty sure we put a smile on our barista’s face. I have been searching for a good lemon cookie since my childhood favorite is no longer available because of paradise bakery being closed (I know it was a franchise, but their lemon cookie is a good memory). Let me tell you… this lemon cookie hit the spot, my search is over. This coffee spot is now on my top go to places for downtown Phoenix for sure.

I absolutely love this coffee shop!! Anela, one of the amazing workers behind The Grind, had invited me to host my first ever solo art show on May 21st and it was an absolute joy. The atmosphere in the shop is just perfect. It's cozy and calm, but also very welcoming and fun. This was the perfect place to host my first solo exhibition. I love that Anela and Chef have merged coffee and several other creative aspects, always having a new event to attend, hosting and celebrating local phoenix creatives. Not to mention the star of the show, the coffee! It was absolutely delicious and affordably priced, everything I needed to kick off my early morning. My friend had a strawberry matcha (he said it was the best he's ever had fyi) and my grandma said her iced tea was great. I had the very best time, definitely check out The Grind!!

We spotted this place on the way to our show and decided to stop in before we headed out the next morning. As soon as you walk in you want to just sit, sip and savor. We had a delightful conversation with the owner. I went for a simple vanilla latte and he tried the Hustler, both drinks were so good, they definitely are using high quality coffee! If you are downtown make sure to get your coffee here!

I am writing this review in complete disgust and disappointment. I visited this establishment and purchased a Biscoff latte and cookie totaling $14.11. What an absolute money grab. The cookie was stale such a major letdown and the drink barely contained 2oz of liquid. Not only was it tiny, but it tasted terrible full of ice.

This is the second time I’ve tried to support this chef’s business ventures, and it’s now obvious that quality is not the priority only revenue. Do better. People work way too hard to be swindled like this.

To make matters worse, I attempted to call the business to address my concerns, and the phone number listed online is not even valid. Completely unacceptable. I will not be returning. I should of went to Bosa donuts...
