Service was terrible. I went there on Wed 4/16 in the afternoon after touring the Titanic museum. Waited in a self service line for quite a while, not knowing that a full service register was available. It appears no one else in line was aware either as no one was using it and the self service line was very long. I had been there for approximately 15-20 minutes before I saw a customer walk up to the register where they actually will help you. The self service line was very long and none of the staff offered to help anyone by saying they could help them at the other register.
Finally, once my order was ready it was for the wrong item. I ordered a cone, they prepared a cup. It wasn't really a big deal but I prefer my ice cream in a cone. I looked at the cup and said " ah I ordered a cone". The staff member, a female who appeared to be in her late teens, just glared at me and said "no Ma'am you ordered 2 scoops in a cup". It was her attitude, very flat and matter of act. I said well I wanted a cone. What do I have to do to get a cone. She said - well you will have to pay for one. Her tone was very rude/sarcastic and she had a defiant look on her face. I was really disgusted by her attitude and I told her to just to forget it and I left what they made for me on the counter. I sat back down at a table to wait for the order my friend placed to be ready. While I am waiting, I look at my receipt (a few minutes later) and sure enough it showed I ordered what I said I ordered - a cone. So I go back up to the counter, the cup she had made in error is still sitting there melting away. I said my receipt shows I ordered a cone just like I told you I did. She looks at it and says - the screen I work off showed the order as a cup. She tried to blame it on the computer. She never apologized. I told her I would like to get what I ordered. She is still looking like she could care less and like she is going to make me wait for it, so I tell her would really like it now because I have waited a very long time. So she made it. I said to her, I really don't understand why you couldn't have just handed me a cone when I told you I had ordered a cone. She said in her same very flat, uncaring way that it was because a cone cost more than a cup. Her attitude was unbelievable. The menu, that is very large and lighted, lists the cones and cups as the same price. So she continued to lie. I could really care less about the ice cream. Read moreThis was the worst experience I have seen in this town. My husband and I came in waited 5 mins. Before someone came out of the back, after I had to call out "Is anyone in here". A heavy set guy came out of the back and asked what we wanted. My husband told him a Chocolate Shake, and asked if he could pay cash. The guy said yes, but you have to wait for the cashier. A woman came out from the Back Room and rang it up. We moved down to the end waiting 10 mins. for the Shake. A family came in and she took their order. She made 2 Ice Cream Cones and a Sundae and handed them to the people behind us. She walked back to the cash register. The guy was over by her and I asked" is someone making our shake ". With no answer the guy grabbed up a cup a cup and started making the shake. The woman gave us a dirty look and walked away. The guy did make the Shake, but came and slid it down the counter and walked away. Such poor Customer Service. There should be some Management available on Site. This place will probably go under before we come down next year. Customer Service is the backbone of the company. Look what those 2 spineless workers can do to ruin...
Read moreIncredibly rude employee. My family went here and ordered dessert to dine in. We were given half our order and waited at the counter for 10 more minutes until a kind male employee busy with other tasks made the rest for us since the others were busy doing nothing or talking. We were told by that same kind employee if we wanted water, we could get some. While eating, one of our family members went to ask for a cup of water and the older female employee very rudely denied it so he sat back down. She then loudly went on a rant about people wanting free stuff and "that's why we sell spring water" and kept this nonsense on for quite some time, so we left. She could've simply said we offer bottled water, and we would have purchased it (despite being told otherwise) but chose to have a nasty attitude. Really ruined the experience, so we have no desire to return or recommend.
