Chex Grill & Wings — Restaurant in Pineville

First off, I don't write reviews often because it would conflict with my secular job in the food/beverage and hospitality industry as a district manager. A year ago while visiting family from out of town, they encouraged me to try this place for wings. I ordered and got back to the hotel and realized they gave me the wrong flavor of wings. Next day I came in and spoke to the manager who made things right and gave me a sample of the strawberry hot sauce wings and highly recommended their famous salad and I've been hooked ever since. Now I stop here EVERY TIME I'm traveling from NY to ATL even if its out of my way just to get a salad with shrimp and avocado, plus strawberry hot wings, pasta salad, and shrimp pesto pasta due to the friendly service, hot food that is cooked and seasoned well in a timely manner without taking shortcuts, in addition to the clean restaurant. Cooks and other staff wear hairnets, changing gloves and washing hands and sanitizing tables regularly just to keep customers and their establishment clean. Manager M. and staff are exceptionally consistent for a year now and I bragg to my family, colleagues, and whomever I hear that's going to Charlotte to try this place as a hidden staple. Unfortunately I can't speak on their other locations. I gave the business 1 less star of perfection due to a couple of flies that made it in the store due to so many customers coming in and out and some were holding the door open as they waited in line to place orders. Only suggestion I can think of is get a revolving door or fans to come on when the doors open. **Update on latest visit. I planned to get my usual order as I did previously on Friday evening and was picking up another order tonight as I head back out of town and cashier Kayla gave me a sample of the new sauces for their wings which led me to add to my set order in addition to the Chex burger which I tried for the first time and I have to admit, its now going into the rotation and if you want a lot of flavors to make you go WOW, try adding avocado to any burger on the memu. Everything has always been fresh. Please please don't lose your touch on doing thigs right. Again, I'm very surprised a restaurant of this caliber can dish out so many incredible items on one menu. I called in a to-go order. The young lady on the phone advised it would be 15 minutes. Upon arrival I waited in the car for 10 minutes due to what I was advised on the phone. When I went in to check on my order and pay I was told that it would be 15 minutes from that time. I advised the young lady that is not was I was advised when I called and she told me they had a lot going on. I went back to my car and waited another 15 minutes and was advised my food was not ready. There was an announcement made that it would take an hour for orders so I asked my nephew if he wanted something else and he agreed. At this point I requested a refund and was advised there would not be one. I insisted and was provided with a refund. The lady in the hijab per usual was unprofessional and nasty. She told the other young lady to give me the refund as she didn’t want any issues and that I would place a call. She was accurate. I attempted to contact the manager/owner to advise him of the poor communication and service but at this point still have not received a response. He promised the service would be better but clearly he can’t get his staff to communicate effectively and act professionally. My son and nephew love Chex but this is the last time going to this location. My money is better...
