The strip district location has more friendly staff and maybe it’s just because they are more customer service geared that I preferred my lattes there.. but wow is this location something. It’s close to my office and I figured I would go here instead of my usual starbucks in liberty center. The clerk who took my order just had a rather blank face with almost no facial expressions or showing any emotions (which again, not the end of the world but also not the most welcoming either). I ordered, tipped 20%, and waited 10 minutes for my latte. When I heard the drink called, I went to get it and I started to put the lid on it. The female barista (she didn’t make the or my drink) immediately came up and said “this isn’t your drink, yours is at the end” gesturing to the last cup in the line of drinks to be made and then proceeded to take the drink out of my hand. Wild behavior on her part I thought, especially when it was an honest mistake. I didn’t know the customer who had been there before me had also gotten the exact same type of latte as me (because again, I wasn’t even in the cafe at the time that customer ordered) and then they don’t write the names of the customers down so literally… how was I supposed to know it wasn’t mine? Only reason for the two stars is for the actual barista who made my drink; he was chill. But whoever the lady was, hope you find happiness or maybe a different job that doesn’t involve...
Read moreCoffee was decent enough. This olace is a 1-star at best, based on who is working. On tuesday I arrived right as they opened. The young woman who unlocked to the door and stepped to the side to grab a sign so I waited for her to approach the door. As she opens it, I hold the door. She doesn't greet me with a smile or a thank you, but instead, she states, "I'm fine thank you" and walks past me. You would think they would at least let the customer walk in first.
As I approach the counter the cashier doesn't say a word, he just looks at me. I ordered my drink and left.
These people working are obviously miserable and have no interest in friendliness toward their guests. There are 15 other coffee shops down town, there is no reason to have to put up with this. Their coffee is decent, but not worth dealing with two unwelcoming employees, one who gives the notion she thinks she is above the customer.
On Thursday, the two I saw before weren't there. a taller guy was working and was friendly as can be. Made a total difference and would haven given 5 stats if it wasn't for the other two...
Read moreThis is the best coffee in town, hands down, but what started off as something kind of annoying is now happening regularly... It's not hot enough! My lattes from here are now consistently lukewarm at best (yes, I know lattes are not as hot). But, I can go literally half a mile down the street to the original location and get one that's perfect temperature every time. Also, usually parking is fine, but there are only a few spots to parallel park out front and when they are taken there literally isn't anywhere to park (even parking around the block by Liberty bail bonds isn't always available). When that happens, again, I just drive half a mile to the original location. Starting to think I need to just skip this spot all together... Also, during the day on the weekends the hotel next door occasionally has some rude yinzer yelling at people not to park out front because he's valet... So on top of limited parking, you have to contend with the hotel trying to grift off the valet parking spots reserved for Eleven, even though the hotel has it's own driveway, turn around, and...
