KFC — Restaurant in Pittsfield Charter Township

4/26/25 Had a bad experience at another KFC so we figured we would visit one closer to home. Went through the drive through. Ordered a 16pc family meal, extra crispy bucket with 4 sides. Person taking our order was hesitant to respond, asked me to pull forward without a total price. Both people in front of us had to wait for their orders, we overheard and both ordered only single meals... I paid and waited at the window about 10 minutes, the 2 other cars ahead of me waited... The 3 cars behind us becoming impatient... The worker returned to let me know to pull ahead of the car in front of me as they are waiting for biscuits to be made!? What!? He mentioned they were slow earlier and then picked up and we're not prepared. I'm thinking, great fresh chicken. After 15 minutes waiting, they brought out our 16pc chicken in a pizza box!?, never seen this before. I handed this to my wife with her face of WTF? and they said "fresh out of the fryer be careful it's hot". I do appreciate the fresh chicken, but what's up with the pizza box!! You'd expect the standard bucket..? Then we got home after ordering the chicken and 4 sides, we only received 3 of the sides, 2 mashed potatoes and 1 cole slaw, 1 short! Should have checked before leaving, but assumed the best. Our 2 young kids were hoping for the macaroni and cheese... we had to let them down, as I wasn't going back 15 minutes away for a missed $4 side and then another 15 minutes wait to pick it up. Just a lack of preparation, but also lack of management and delivery of product... Even though the sign says "Under new management" 😆 Food was as good as normal, but struggle is real in the fast food world... I'm very ambivalent about my experience here. The food was delicious and the service was fast, but the customer service left much to be desired.

Firstly, when I rolled down my window to order I was blasted with the strong smell of weed. I glanced over at the nearest parking space, and lo and behold, there is a KFC employee sitting in the passenger's seat of an SUV smoking weed with his legs hanging outside the slightly open car door. I certainly have no problem with a grown adult smoking a bit of weed, but maybe don't do it in your uniform right next to the drive thru speaker.

The employee who "greeted" me (calling it a greeting is being generous) sounded like she LITERALLY could not possibly care less about anything related to her job. Every word she mumbled at me just radiated with the petulant angst of a bored child; it was as if I was some huge burden who was wasting the precious time of her royal highness with my order of one meal. She let out an exaggerated sigh each time I asked her to repeat herself, despite the fact that it seemed as if she was purposefully mumbling inaudibly into the microphone.

The man who took my card and handed me my food, on the other hand, was nothing but professional and courteous. He worked quickly and efficiently, wishing me a nice day upon handing me the bag. The corn, mashed potatoes and gravy, and the chicken in the famous bowl were all yummy, as is usually the case at a KFC.

I left only somewhat satisfied. Specifically, I was thankful for the food and the nice employee who handed it to me, but annoyed by the other tactless members of the KFC crew I encountered.

Went to KFC for dinner while down there for a surgery at the hospital. We pulled up on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at 7pm. While sitting in the drive thru: we watched a male employee come out of the back door of kfc dressed in their uniform to a car with other people all ready in it smoking something-the whole car was full of smoke. While we were still waiting in line a total of more than 10 minutes the line moved for us to place our order. That employee came out of the car along with a female employee went back into the building through the back door. The male employee took our order and could not comprehend what I was saying. 2 number 8 with coleslaw, mashed pototoes and gravy. Crispy chicken. I ended up repeating this simple order several times then was asked If we wanted something to drink. I said a pepsi and mountain dew. I was asked if I wanted them together? (Like in one cup)No two drinks. This person taking the order was very unprofessional, stoned and made you wonder if you should eat the food. Upon pulling up to the window, that question was answered. None of the employees were wearing hair nets on their heads or beards. The female's hair was extremely long and drets to boot. The male employees the same long hair no nets. Only 3 employees in drive thru lobby was closed. We waited for several minutes by the window (which noone ever opened) we left. We could not believe that the owners of this franchise is still in business with employees like this. Never will go there again.
