Food: Absolutely a 5/5, I ordered the Lobster and Brie Omelette with a side of muffins and potatoes. The Lobster Brie Omelette was a perfect blend of all the flavors, and every bite had something I wanted. The one complaint about the dish would be the amount of tomato, there was a bit much for my personal liking, but not too difficult to remove, nor did it detract from the dish. My wife loved the potatoes. The muffin was a standard english muffin.
My wife ordered the Smoked Salmon Benedict with City Grits, and it was perfect, the salmon had a great smoky flavor, the capers offered a nice addition, and they did not skimp on the cream cheese. The city grits were to die for, although we did order them without tomato. Absolutely amazing.
We did also receive a free order of biscuit beignets with a side dish of honey marmalade. They were pleasant, and the honey marmalade offered a pleasant flavor. They were extremely hot, so we did wait a while to eat them.
We both ordered water with lemon, received 2 lemons, and one refill each, which was all we needed, the refill was timely, despite them working on closing due to the fact that it was 15 minutes after close.
Service: Overall 4/5. Our server was a 5/5, took our order quickly, provided refills, was friendly, and checked on us several times. Food came extremely quickly as well. The only reason for the 4/5 overall is the fact that while we were waiting to be seated, which took approximately 22 minutes, someone, who I am assuming is a manager given their attire, seemed more concerned with closing the restaurant than ensuring the guests were being seated in a timely manner, and made comments in front waiting guests, despite it only being 1:30.
Atmosphere: 5/5. Restaurant was extremely clean, bathrooms were clean, and the outdoor patio had a nice open design with cornhole for waiting guests. Inside there was lots of glass, adding to the bright atmosphere. The only drawback was the overall noise level, but that is no fault of the restaurant.
Overall: 4.6 Stars. We will absolutely be returning, my wife says it is the best breakfast restaurant...
Read moreBeing our first visit, we were warmly welcomed at the door and seated promptly. The restaurant is clean and refreshing and we were offered a free appetizer of biscuit beignets as first timers.
The appetizer was a delicious fried biscuit with powdered sugar and dipping sauce tasting like orange marmalade with honey and I find these could probably be very addicting! The menu has a refreshing list of unique items for both breakfast and lunch that caters to many different dietary needs. Some items are lower in fat, lower in carbohydrates, or even gluten free and they will easily work with you to make small changes to items if it meets your diet or allergies.
We ordered a baquezo omelette with optional add on two stack of indulgence bourbon street pancakes, a full order of apple fritter french toast with scrambled eggs and chicken sausage, as well as two flavored specialty coffees. The food arrived quickly, was a quality portion size made with fresh ingredients, and tasted incredible and refreshing. Any questions or concerns about the food were answered with kindness and we definitely wanted to give a special shout out to our server Lily that treated us with respect and enthusiasm.
I definitely recommend anyone to give this place a visit! There's a little something for everyone here, it's affordable, and it offers a unique selection from other places in the area. We will definitely see...
Read moreOverall the place is very pretty and the food looks appealing from afar. Our server was very nice and efficient. The beneigts seemed like they were either overcooked or refried. The chicken sandwich was very messy. The biscuits also seemed over cooked, but all that tasted good despite those aspects. However, the grits tasted like water even after doctoring them up. Also I went to use the bathroom and two employees went in there to start "mopping". This was inappropriate as they seemed like they were just in there to talk. It should not take 2 people to mop one small bathroom. The floor was clean already and it actually made it look worse afterwards because they didnt sweep beforehand. I could not use the bathroom in peace while they were in there and this cut into my meal time with my family due to having to wait for them to leave. Normally you would ask if anyones in there and put up a wet floor sign afterwards but none of this was done. That's a big hazard and liability...
