Harbor Freight — Local services in Plainfield

I've had 2 frustrating experiences at this store on back-to-back evenings. Posted on their door it shows their Closing as 8pm. Last night & this evening (9/19 & 9/20/20), I arrived at the store between 7:30 & 7:45, only to find their doors were already locked. Tonight was a really busy night for me & I had a home project to finish that needed a drill with a larger chuck. So I decided to give it a 2nd try tonight. This time I arrived 7:35 & found their doors locked again! There were 2 guys sitting at the registers. When I pecked on the door & pointed to my watch, they both ignored me as if I weren't even there. If it's a SLOW night, it's OK to get a little head start on shut down. But don't post your closing as 8pm if you're not willing to offer service up until that time. NOT A Great Way To...

I was in the Plainfield In store today 4-27-2017 trying to buy 1 item for $4 and change. Casher was on the phone to me says you need to wait. Now my turn his question do I get their Catalogs? My answer was yes and to many of them. Next answer he wanted my phone number my response was don't have one, I don't like getting all these questions, If I have to provide one maybe I don't want to buy your stuff. his answer was (What Ever) handed him a $20 bill had my hand out for the change and he just dropped it on the counter. Awesome experience, helpful people and great tools for great prices. I always recommend buying hard tools from Harbor Freight. And what I mean by hard is tools without any moving Parts. Harbor Freight is doing a killer business because they have taken the name brand expense and frivolous advertisement out of selling tools for realistic prices. I really enjoy going to the local Plainfield store because the people there have helped me time and again with exchanges returns specialty orders Etc.
