McDonald’s on James Redman in Plant City!!! If I could rate a zero I would. I placed a mobile order for curbside pickup. I watched for about 20 minutes car after car that ordered after me go through drive thru getting food. I finally receive a message saying my order is heading out. After another 10 minutes and no food I head inside to find out what’s going on. The girl at the register before I even could finish what I was sayimg got an attitude and said we are really busy. My response was I ordered over 30 minutes ago and have watched car after car go through and get that food that ordered after me. She went to talk to said manager (Nicole) or whatever she is and never came back up front. Spoke to another nice girl who finally said we started you order but are waiting on your sandwiches. I then asked why it was taking so long but everyone on drive thru was getting their food. Nicole finally turns around and says we only have 3 people working back here with an attitude. My response was I should already have my food after waiting this long and watching people get their food after me. Nicole got rude again and said no and I said I have watch people pull up to order food and get theirs after I’ve waited 30 plus minutes. She didn’t like my response. After about 45 minutes I ask a girl at the front for a refund. Nicole turns around and says you have to get a refund in the App with an attitude. No where in the app did it offer me a chance to request a refund. So I ask if they can show me where and everyone’s response was we don’t know how to do that including Nicole. Who will not come up front and talk to me. She has all the other employees relaying her response to me. My husband finally says we aren’t leaving without a refund and the poor little girl up front doesn’t know what to do. We tell her it’s not her fault Nicole should be handling this situation. I ask if they can just make the food that it’s been over an hour now since order wa placed and we aren’t leaving without food if we can’t get a refund. Of course now Nicole is behind wall saying loud enough for everyone in there to hear her say if it wasn’t because I had kids I’d walk out right now. If that’s a manger she shouldn’t be one. She doesn’t know how to handle situations and has the people under her relaying everything because she isn’t woman enough to handle it herself. This is no way to run a business at all. I wasn’t the only one in that situation in there tonight either. I do have the Managers number of the restaurant and will be calling him or...
Read moreWhy I keep giving this McDonald’s another chance, I’ll never know. I begged my husband not to order from home and do curbside pickup. No one ever looks at the order screen for curbside, and I average 20+ minutes there. IT’S NOT FAST FOOD IF YOUR CUSTOMERS HAVE TO WAIT OVER 20 MINUTES FOR IT. Strangely, the delivery side seems okay. Drive-thru is so, so. Better than it used to be. But curbside at this McDonalds is awful. This evening, at one point during my twenty-minute+ wait, for maybe two minutes, there was no one in drive thru. The drive-thru window cashier and two others were chatting and have fun. Good for them. I’m glad they are enjoying their work time together. Sincerely. But I’m also still sitting there in a curbside spot, watching them in my mirror, waiting for someone to notice me. —As another mentioned in these reviews, maybe this particular McDonald’s need to go on social media blast. Maybe I need to start going on TikTok or Instagram LIVE when I pull into my curbside parking spot, tag the McDonald corporate office, and put a big timer on the screen for everyone to see so we can all wait together. Yes, that’s what I’m going to do. Because— unlike tonight where my husband ended up going inside to collect our order after twenty minutes— I will not get out of the car if I’m by myself. I’m physically disabled. So next order, we can all wait together with a timer until someone bothers to notice me and brings me my order. If I sit there an hour on LIVE social media, so be it. That’s how incredibly frustrating I find this. It’s not just once or twice this has happened. Poor service on curbside pickup is pretty consistent. It would be better to simply not offer curbside than offer it but not...
Read moreWhen it comes to the Plant City McDonald’s on Redman, no lie, you must be willing to dedicate at least 15 minutes or more of your time to their drive-thru. I’m sincerely not exaggerating. This has been a consistent experience for me. Do not let the two drive-thru lanes deceive you into believing you will receive your meal sooner. We’re talking about longer wait times than even at Culver’s, which makes your food fresh and only has the one drive-up ordering station. My husband I go to the Redman McDonald’s when we just want to get out of the house and sit and chat without interruption or distraction, because we are guaranteed at least 15 minutes of quiet “us” time while waiting for our rarely-hot fries and somewhat melted (from waiting forever) sundaes. I’m actually thinking of starting up a social media account dedicated to the drive-thru at this McDonalds. Maybe set up a timer and record the experience—from ordering our food, to contemplating the workings of the universe while we wait, to the desperate look the window server gives me when he or she hands me a half-melted sundae and I raise a brow in silent question, like “Did you really just hand me this?” Of course, since I can see the plea in their eyes for me to please just take sundae and leave, I do so accept it without complaint because the teen who handed it to me has obviously been trained that subpar mediocrity is the standard to meet for customer satisfaction (or why else would they have felt comfortable with serving me such fare) and that customers expecting anything more “exceptional” like hot fries or frozen ice cream should have known not to come to that McDonalds....
