Potbelly — Restaurant in Plant City

I was very excited to try this restaurant, downloaded the app before going my first time. I was surprised to see I had a free cookie perk as it’s my birth month. The gentleman at the first part of the order station was very friendly, helped me make my selection, explained to process on down the counter. The young lady that put the other toppings on my sandwich was nice as well. Then I got to the checkout. The woman was snippy about me scanning my phone before she pushed a button, then acted like I was bothering her when I asked about the cookie. In a voice l/tone I would only use on a petulant child, she said, “just take a cookie” I’m not sure why she spoke to me like that, I did not “just take a cookie”

The only thing I ask of the people working in the service industry is just treat me like you want my money, not just today, but like you want me to come back again.

This store is located basically at a 4 corner intersection, with all of the following sandwich shops: Jersey Mikes, Jimmy John’s, Firehouse, and Subway… Way to go coming in last. The food was decent enough, but the...

Potbelly has been around for years but is new to Plant City. We are certainly glad to see them enter the market here.

There are some pros and cons about the experience. The restaurant is inviting, clean, new, and smells good. The menu is appealing with some interesting choices.

The employees taking orders are sometimes friendly and sometimes not so much. I wasn't sure if they all wanted us there or not.

The quality of food is definitely better than a Subway...and of course about twice as expensive. Food quality is about on par with a Jason's Deli but with fewer options.

Unfortunately however, you don't get trays, dishes, or silverware at Potbelly, like you would get at a Jason's. So you have a messy dining experience that you have to try to clean up yourself. This makes it kind of frustrating.

I like the food pretty much but CG wasn't impressed. So it's a mixed bag for us. She said the bacon on her BLT was overcooked.

We both enjoyed the fruity beverages.

Tab for two was $33 which is on the high side for a sandwich served in paper.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Horrible Service – Never Again!

I don’t know what’s going on at this Potbelly location, but the service is absolutely terrible. I walked in expecting a quick, friendly experience, and instead, I got rude employees who acted like they couldn’t care less about their jobs. No greeting, no acknowledgment—just attitude.

It took forever to get my order, even though there were barely any customers. When I finally did get my food, the employee practically threw it at me without a word. No “thank you,” no “have a nice day”… nothing. If I’m paying for a meal, the least I expect is basic customer service.

This place needs serious management intervention because the employees clearly don’t want to be there. I won’t be back, and I’ll make sure to tell everyone I know to take their business elsewhere. Do...
