I have OCD badly cups must be covered bags must be folded closed... There are others but those pertain to this situation... Because of my situation I must use drive through.. This store is always busy inside I cant do large crowds so the drive through is very convenient... I order the same thing 5 days a week total is always 13.45 it went to that price in January before then it was 12.48... today is the third time this situation accorded I do everything in 3;s and the same situation has to happen in 3s before I do anything... I placed my order medium vanilla machiatto, egg cheese bacon croissant, and one coffee roll its hit and miss with the coffee roll they are out a lot so in substitution I will order a apple fritter. Well I get to the window first time this lady crinkles the bag thrusts it to me. I fold the bags by the side creases there are 6 folds 4 outs side the bag 2 inside the bag and I fold the bag closed.. The lady looks annoyed I apologize let her know I am deeply sorry she rolls her eyes and thrusts out my drink which is dripping coffee down the side. I leave the coffee outside my truck grab my napkins the sit on the armrest in the middle between my phone and my wallet and wipe the cup.. When I look up she slams the window shut and just glares at me.. After wiping my cup I again apologize to her this isn't my fault I didnt ask to be like this I know it is a bourdon for others to have to deal with people like me but I don't know what else to do... Second incident I place the same order 13.45 bacon egg cheese croissant medium machiatto and a coffee roll but that day they were out so I got a apple fritter this was their truck day he parks right side of the building about 3 feet from the curb with cab pointed 5 feet from the curb.. due to this position you have to pull out from the speaker by 6 feet and turn your vehicle in or you will scrape your rear driver side tire... when I get to the window I give my set amount due 13.45 out of a 20.45 which gives me an odd 7.00 back.. this time its another lady she rolls her eyes hands me one open bag I fold in the 6 creases and fold the top she give me the second bag this holds the apple fritter and the straw I pull out the straw and throw it in the trash I cant have outside objects touching the food. I remember where the straw touched the fritter.. I reach for the coffee the lady thrusts it out I apologize she just shuts the window and talks to an employee....The third time today I placed my same order today there was 2 vehicles in front of me a white chevy with three stickers in the window one said baby on board ones said proud mother of a military child and one was of baby yoda with his head popping out on the right corner. In front of him was a chevy truck black one male the driver with a cigarette out the window and female in the passenger side and a child in the back mother turned around 4 times to interact with the child... When I arrived at the window there was a man he took the 20.45 and gave me 7.00 he gave me two bags I put one in my lap and folded it closed set it down took the second bag and folded it in the process I hear him say quote I'm not doing this and the window slams shut that got my attention after I folded the bag I set it down I looked at the closed winder my drink inside and his back to me.. I just sat there and waited for a while.. he thrust the window with a force the right window closest to the register came back to him he thrust the cup at me i retrieved the cup from him and went to apologize he slammed the window shut and walked away.... I don't believe any type of abnormal hostile behavior is warranted to a customer for any reason now if you didn't know okay but I tell people Im not ashamed of it and I always apologize.. But this type of behavior is uncalled for... Just wanted to put it out there what was going on because I am sure I'm not the only one this is happening to and what's weird this change has only happened in the last 2...
Read moreArrived at 7:20am needing to be at work 10 minutes away by 8:00am. I was 2nd in the drive through line. Ordered 2 dozen variety packs of doughnuts and 1 box of "Joe" they called it. I was told to drive to the front and wait for the box of "Joe." Thought to myself, OK, I've got more than enough time to wait a few minutes and get to work on time. By this time it was 7:25am. I waited...and waited. 15 minutes goes by and I see a kid at the counter making the same order I just asked for at the window. Mind you I already had the doughnuts, all I needed was for someone to pour coffee into a box. To make matters worse it started to pour rain. At this point I knew I had to go inside and check on my order. Its now 7:40am when I walk into the lobby and ask the kid who was remaking my order that I'm waiting on a box coffee. His reply was, "it's coming," like I was bothering him. After standing there for another 5 minutes I see that he's now bagging another 2 dozen doughnuts and starts walking around the counter as if he's taking everything to my car. I guess he didn't understand when I told him I was waiting on JUST a box of coffee. I mentioned that I only need the coffee. He stops and looks at me like I've got 2 heads. Finally a manager speaks up from the back of the counter and tells him, "Those doughnuts are for another order," I repeated, "Yea, I'm just waiting on the coffee bud." This is the 3rd time I've said it. 4 if you count when I ordered at the window. So nows it's 7:45am pouring rain and I've got 15 minutes to get to work at 8am. On a normal day I could have made it there maybe 1 or 2 minutes in time to clock in; however, with the rain I knew it would be impossible. So, I called my office manager and explained the situation. I ended up having to use PTO as to not have points counted against me for being late. To top all this off, I parked at 8:01am and was trying to bring coffee and doughnuts into the office for my coworkers. To show my appreciation of their hardwork during this crazy COVID climate we've been. Thankfully, I was able to drop off the coffee and doughnuts, but the added insult of having to use my personal PTO because of some lack luster employee at Dunkin Doughnuts is ridiculous. I will NOT be visiting this establishment again. And I recommend whoever reads this takes the same stance. At minimum they really need to work on their communication skills. Maybe having a cup of "Joe" before dealing with...
Read moreThis place is far to new to suffer from these sort of problems. While trying to order from the drive thru, we were told 3 times that the items we wanted were no longer available. It was still early on in the morning and the items were pretty ordinary and nothing special. It would have been very helpful if they would have just mentioned they were out of a few things rather than allowing us to sit and fumble through the menu. As we drove around to pay, it was quite obvious what the problem was, the girl working the drive thru looked less than enthused. She didn't bother to say good morning or greet us, she just took our card and walked away with some very negative body language and returned with our pastries. She handed me the bag and card and closed the window. She didn't bother to say one word even after I said have a good day! You know I would have been happy with just a smile but no not even that! This is a management problem, and needs to be sorted out right now! Oh and I am fairly sure that the manager was standing right there talking to another employee while all this was going on. I would say save yourself a ton of frustration and just visit The Donut Shop down the street, there you will get delicious donuts served with a warm heartfelt smile. That is our new pastry stop and it's only 5 minutes from Dunkins! Strangely enough we only discovered they were there because our Dunkins experience was so bad so we looked them up, so in a way,...
