Sawa Hibachi Asian Bistro — Restaurant in Pooler

This is a very good restaurant, and I order from them very frequently. However, today I received very bad customer service. I called in a simple order for two, and I had a few adjustments for my grandmother. I substituted onions for broccoli, and a few minutes later I called to add an order of crab wontons. I called in my order about 40 minutes before pick-up, and when I arrived they were very busy. After waiting an addition 10 minutes, I was told that it would be another 10 minutes. I was very disturbed by this because I had already paid and left a tip. I don’t live far from this restaurant, so I went home to drop off my groceries, and returned to the restaurant. The meals were still not ready. After waiting another 5-10 minutes, it came out and it was missing the broccoli and the wontons. I physically had to return to my car to prove that this was true. Then the cook came out and he was very apologetic, but he said that they usually don’t make substitutions. This is fine, but I should have been told this when making the order. So I waited another 5-10 minutes for the broccoli. They didn’t make my wontons and they only refunded me the cash of the wontons without adding the tax I paid. VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. I should have been refunded a portion or my meal in total. I frequent this restaurant so much that I am in the computer by name. Now, I felt bad because the young man running the desk was new, but he should have known that this is not the way you treat a customer. Did I mention I left a tip on the original receipt? Myself and two teens came to this restaurant on a Saturday for the Hibachi experience. From the guy at the entrance not wanting to seat us in the grill area since it was only 3 of us, to being told that the lunch menu was not available to us at the grill. We did sit at a grill and we paid dinner price as they did not charge us lunch price although it was 12:33pm. Not the best experience but I decided to try it again. A few days later I came back solo. This time I was told that I could not sit in the grill area because it was just one of me. Same guy from a few days prior said it had to be at least 2. I advised I'd wait for others as I was in no hurry. He began to explain that the grill requires gas and extra electricity and again I said I'd wait for others. He stormed off yelling in his native language and sent a young lady to speak with me. She stated that because they didn't have many to come in during early hours that I'd probably be waiting a long time and advised that I sit in the other area. I did. Was able to order from the Hibachi menu. As soon as I placed my order, a couple came in and requested a seat at the grill. They were told, by the same greeter guy, that it had to be at least 3 of them. Well damn! Which is it!? All in all, they will choose where you sit as well as what price you will pay regardless of what time of the day it is. If you are looking for a nice, clean hibachi grill, don’t come here. If you’re looking for a mediocre hibachi grill with okay service, this restaurant could possibly be for you. Our party of 4 walked in and was given a 30 minute wait time. Upon our return to be seated, the manager, Alyssa, was completely rude to our party and her fellow employees after commanding other costumers behind us be seated before us since there is a ‘first come first served’ and the new employee was not aware. After confronting Alyssa, she acted immature by rolling her eyes, ignoring us, and speaking her mind about the confusing situation in front of the whole restaurant. So that was a bit embarrassing. She was completely unprofessional on how she handled the situation, but thankfully we were able to get a table after another 30 min wait. We ended up sitting at a filthy table, but they had napkins so we wiped our own table and chairs of grease.
