I would have giving this place 5 stars because the first time I went food was excellent and service was great. The only issue I had was when I ordered the surf and turf that came the asparagus. I was only served asparagus bottoms which were inedible. The problem was quickly fixed whenthe waitress brought me out a plate of asparagus sauteed in a delicious butter and garlic sauce. We loved it so much we decided to make it our regular spot to dine as we dine about 4 to 5 times a week. On our second visit we ordered the same thing. My husband was still in his work clothes and we felt instantly judged for this. We waited 40 minutes for shrimp dumplings that were cold. We waited an hour and a half for surf and turf that were well done (we asked for medium rare) I asked for a manager (Larry) who took his time coming over to us.. now by this time the table behind us had already been seated twice. The second couple that sat down to eat was complaining that they waiting 40 minutes for a shrimp dinner meanwhile they were the second couple to sit there to dine and we still had not had our dinner. Larry without hesitation tells them that dinner is on him much to their liking. When he gets to our table. I show him our food because, yet again we are served all asparagus bottoms well done steak and he looks at as like we have two head and asks what would we like for him to do? I tried very hard to hold my composure and I tell him, I would like for him to give me what I am paying for which is 2 medium rare surf and turf dinners with asparagus tips not bottoms. I tell him that we are not looking for a free meal we are looking for what we are paying for. We wait another 45 minutes. Mind you... He personally took our food back and put in our food order. What I got back was well done beef Flambeau no asparagus no shrimp. By this time I am very hangry another manager comes out says she will put in a togo order for me of med well surf and turf she says she will order me a side of asparagus abd see what she can comp. Then the host comes up to give us two $25 gift cards which we were reluctant to take but took them in the end. She was extremely apologetic and worked hard to defuse the situation and was successful. Something both managers failed to do. Why she isn't in management is beyond me.

Waitress brings me my to go food, I ask her about my comp. I wait another 10 minutes for slow loris Larry to make it back to our table, by this time we are there well over three hours and tge only yhong we have eaten was shrimp dumplings and our drinks. This man has the audacity to comp our dinners only! Not our appetizers nor our drinks because we actually ate and drank those, meanwhile the couple behind us who were non Hispanic and only waiting 40 minutes for their dinner had their entire bill comped no questions asked. I processed to become unhinged at this point and demand that he comp the entire bill which he does. The bill was a total of $92 which I turn around and tip its entirety to my server. A very nice young lady here while in college. We are given our togo bags we get back home I check my bag we have one surf and turf well done again. We never ate it and we gave away tge gift cards. I would never recomend this place ever. My husband and I are foodies we travel the US and we dine anywhere frim 5 star restaurants to street food. We have been to the best of the best to the worst of the worst. Sadly PF Changs is the Worst of the worst. I would never fathom of trying to get free food from anyone. We felt judged, we felt humiliated and most of all we felt like Larry simply thought we were looking for a free meal. I recently gave the Newport News P.F. Chang's a rating of 1 star (actually less than 1 star) on their take-out service. I really did not give it to them. They earned it. To be fair (and because my wife likes other P.F. Chang's) we decided to eat in for lunch. An entirely different experience, worthy of a 5 star rating. We arrived a little after 1:00 pm and were seated at a nice table. Service was excellent, no - outstanding. P.F. Chang's serves meals family style which means there is enough for two on one order, and very reasonably priced. We had the Crispy Honey Chicken which was excellent. When we inquired, our server informed us that P.F. Chang's only uses white meat chicken, which makes my wife happy. So if you have the option of eating at the restaurant or have takeout, definitely eat in. It is worth it.

Old Review on Take-Out I used to like P.F. Chang's. Well, I still like OTHER P.F Chang's. Service - 0 (zero) out of 5. Placed order for curbside pickup and arrived at P.F. Chang's. At 5:22 p.m. - Received text that my order was ready and provided my parking spot. Seconds later the door opens and an employee comes out with an order which is handed to the car next to me. 5:33 p.m. - Go inside restaurant to inquire about my order. Front desk person disappears to the back and reappears 5 minutes later. My order is not ready despite being informed over 15 minutes earlier that it was ready. 5:45 p.m. - My order is ready. Handed to me without apologies or explanations for the delay. Don't know if they forgot my order or gave it away. Food - 1 out of 5 . Ordered Mongolian Beef with rice (the entree, not the Mongolian Beef Bowl). I like Mongolian Beef. Have had it at other P.F. Chang's and it was delicious. The best description I would say for this restaurant is hard leftover scraps (lots of tiny pieces of meat) that were overcooked, left sitting in a cafeteria or buffet aluminum tray on too much heat for several hours and then given to a takeout order because any person eating in the restaurant would have sent it back. The 1 star is for the rice. Mongolian Beef, an absolute ZERO. ...

I went to here Friday night (May 25) around 8:30. I live in Hampton and while I prefer the PF Chang’s in the Beach. I decide to just go here. I usually just sit at the bar. Upon walking into the restaurant, you could tell they had been busy at the bar. The bartenders were cleaning up. I sit down and order my usually Plum wine to start. No issues there. And I order some Calamari. Still no Calamari after the waitress ask after about 25 mins of ordering. After about 9:35, my Calamari come out. It wasn’t hot and it was overcooked. I attempted to eat it because I could tell who ever was in the kitchen cooking as slow. Even tho, the restaurant wasn’t busy. Reluctantly, I decide to order the Mongolian beef with broccoli and white rice. I was going to take it wit go because by this time it was about 10:00 and I figured it wouldn’t be out until around 10:30-10:40 which is 20-30 mins before closing. Welp, my food came out in about 25 mins, which surprised me. HOWEVER COMMA, when I saw it I knew it wasn’t going to taste at all what it should and what I’m use too. I was correct. It tasted burnt and what overcooked. Even the broccoli tasted burnt. The waitress had just given me the request To-Go boxes. The waitress saw my face and was like “It tastes burnt doesn’t it?” I shake my head “Yes”. She told me the normal cook had left right before I ordered my food and that some new guy was cooking for the first time. I was disappointed but I hadn’t ate since about 2:00pm that day. I told her I couldn’t eat it and to please take it off my bill. Oh Yes, the Calamari was taking off before this due to the length of time it took to receive it and the way it had been cooked. My bill ended up being $10.22 for my wine and I tipped the waitress.

I left and got a burger and fries on my way home.

I think I will just take my wallet to Virginia Beach from now on because they never miss and the have a Happy Hour which is a bonus. Newport News PF Chang’s tighten up and train your...

Hello 👋🏿 So we’re back here at PF Chang’s restaurant. Our daughter has never eaten here before so we wanted to treat her so she can have a nice experience. I have to say she enjoyed the food and my wife and I enjoyed the food that we ordered. Our waitress which is Catherine she did an excellent job. Great customer service. Listen to us very closely and provided excellent customer service. We took our time, ordering our food appetizers first afterwords our food. While we were eating our appetizers, a party of six came in to eat, and Catherine still took great care of us. She’s a new server, but she knows what she’s doing. She’s very good, and I was glad to have her as our server. Most importantly, I have to say to the owners of PF Chang’s “Thank You for Offering a Military discount to Active duty as well as Veterans as a veteran I will definitely recommend you to all the veterans I know as well as the soldiers that are at Fort Eustis. I will recommend your place for them to go and eat. Again, great job great food great customer service. Just want to recognize Catherine because she did a great job. Keep up the good work and thank you for the fresh hot food that you all prepare. We will return. And my daughter said she will also return with friends. Again, thank you 🙏🏿

So... first of all. There was a 40 minute wait for a table. Once seated, I noticed there was several large parties in the section we were in. The waitress came over and took our drink and appetizer order... my drink was delivered 10 minutes later. 10 minutes after that our appetizer arrived, and 10 minutes after that my boyfriend finally got his drink. The original waitress was tending to the large parties and checked in with us only to take our order. At this point we had been there for almost an hour. Our food was brought over by a runner. Boyfriends food was delivered cold. The waitress didn't check on us again until long after we had stopped eating. We spoke to the manager. In all fairness we were comped a portion of our meal, but no one apologized... the entire staff seems lazy and disinterested. We will not go back. The icing on the cake was after we had finished our mojitos, I noticed that the limes used were rotten. I snagged a picture of that. As someone who has spent 20+ years in the service industry, I can honestly say this was an extremely lackluster dining experience. What a waste of our time.

While we were eating our appetizers, a party of six came in to eat, and Catherine still took great care of us. She’s a new server, but she knows what she’s doing. She’s very good, and I was glad to have her as our server. Most importantly, I have to say to the owners of PF Chang’s “Thank You for Offering a Military discount to Active duty as well as Veterans as a veteran I will definitely recommend you to all the veterans I know as well as the soldiers that are at Fort Eustis. I will recommend your place for them to go and eat. Again, great job great food great customer service. Just want to recognize Catherine because she did a great job. Keep up the good work and thank you for the fresh hot food that you all prepare. We will return. And my daughter said she will also return with friends. Again, thank you 🙏🏿

So... first of all. There was a 40 minute wait for a table. Once seated, I noticed there was several large parties in the section we were in. The waitress came over and took our drink and appetizer order... my drink was delivered 10 minutes later. 10 minutes after that our appetizer arrived, and 10 minutes after that my boyfriend finally got his drink. The original waitress was tending to the large parties and checked in with us only to take our order. At this point we had been there for almost an hour. Our food was brought over by a runner. Boyfriends food was delivered cold. The waitress didn't check on us again until long after we had stopped eating. We spoke to the manager. In all fairness we were comped a portion of our meal, but no one apologized... the entire staff seems lazy and disinterested. We will not go back. The icing on the cake was after we had finished our mojitos, I noticed that the limes used were rotten. I snagged a picture of that. As someone who has spent 20+ years in the service industry, I can honestly say this was an extremely lackluster dining experience. What a waste of our time.
