6/2022 - Understaffed making the overcrowded restaurant uncomfortable. We ordered 1/2 doz oysters on half shell @ $20, crab salad, one sushi roll and SW eggrolls. My husband's Oysters came out after about 20 min, they were large. Then we sat and sat and waited while 16 other people who came in AFTER us were served! About an hour in My crab salad (imatation crab over sliced cucumbers - not impressed) and roll came. Mention the others being served before us and was told all their food was fried so it came from the kitchen. Even though there were 3, mind you three, people behind the sushi bar! My local guy could've handled the orders they were filling alone! They spent more time chatting it up with patrons at the bar than getting orderes filled. This was not a good experience for us. Leaving frustrated, oh and the SW eggrolls never came! I felt bad for the waitress. She finally let the 3 behind sushi bar know she was getting complaints (with lots of drama) so one of them started putting plates on tables for new customers. Wow big help, not. Leaving we still wanted to visit the merchantile to shop. Downstairs we were told it would be a "few minutes" because they had to get someone to open the store. They normally open upon request. What? Never mind! If, big IF we were to revisit it will definitely be in non peek hours. Too bad. We thought we would have a nice lunch after crossing the ferry!

I was in town on business and stopped in here for dinner at the recommendation of Amanda. It was Sunday night, and I went up to the third floor and sat at the bar for dinner since I was solo. From the moment I walked in, everyone was very helpful and made dining here a pleasant experience. I was starving. I didn’t know what to order or drink. The cute blonde girl behind the bar suggested the Rebel Margarita (swirl of house frozen margarita and frozen sangria). It was very good! I heard that you either needed to order seafood or sushi at this place, because it’s the BEST. I treated myself to the grilled seafood platter; it was amazing. Large piece of drum, 4 large shrimp, and 2 jumbo scallops. Served with 2 hush puppies and choice of 2 sides. I went with garlic mashed potatoes and coleslaw; even the sides were AMAZING. Well, my eyes were bigger than my stomach, and I have a small bit of leftovers. It will be a great snack! I wish I had the names of everyone working behind the bar tonight, but I don’t. Alyssa is the name on my receipt. Even upon leaving, everyone employee thanked me for coming in and wished me a good evening. I am a big time foodie and appreciate great service. Owners, management, kitchen, and servers - you hit the nail on the head with this place.

⭐️ 1 Star We arrived at 8:15 p.m. for our first visit on Monday September 15th—was really excited because it was highly recommended by our Port A host—only to be turned away even though posted hours say 9:00 p.m. and guests were still at the bar and a table. The bartender with long blonde hair looked at her watch, rolled her eyes, and the brunette waitress openly said, “It’s up to you?” The bartender replied—sarcastically, I might add—“Sorry guys.” The attitude made it crystal clear we weren’t welcome, and staying would have only made things worse. My wife and I have never felt so unwelcome anywhere. I could understand being turned away five minutes before closing, but 45 minutes early while customers were still being served is unacceptable. As someone with decades in the service industry, it’s mind-boggling to see paying guests treated this way—especially in a tourist town. We’ll be sure to tell our host and others to cross this place off the list.

Hostess RUDE Bartender RUDE Definitely will not go back. Haven't even ordered food yet, and only staying because the kids are hungry and it's 730pm and everywhere is busy. When we went up to order drinks on the top floor while we waited after dealing with the hostess rolling her eyes and saying she couldn't hear us even though we were the only group in front of her waiting to be seated - our order of 2 pain killers, 1 dirty martini, 1 ranch water, 1 whiskey and coke, and 4 virgin Pina coladas was "THROWING A LOT AT ME!" according to this professional bartender... guess we were supposed to just order beer...or water. I don't care how good the food is, the service SUCKS and we are paying customers. I've been a waitress before and I learned if I didn't like it, I should find a different job...that's the tip I'm leaving. AND I don't give a damn how busy you are on a Thursday evening, it costs nothing to be kind, and our group is always generous with our tips. If the owner/manager reads this...get your staff in check...other guests noticed this ridiculous behavior. As I typed this review my sister went in for another round at the bar. She waited patiently regardless of how the bartender acted the first round. A group of 4 walked in after my sister and the bartender was nice and acknowledged them. She then came to the line where my sister had been waiting at least 15 minutes and asked "who was here first?" Like she didn't know. My sister said "I was". The bartender mumbled something under her breath to her "friends" and proceeded to make that group of 4 their drinks FIRST before my sister who had been waiting and informed the bartender she was their first. The Ukrainian waitress we had was the ONLY decent person I encountered providing decent service at this place. We still spent right around $400 with drinks and food for our party of 5 adults and 4 kids. Why didn't I leave...it was my daughter's birthday and we didn't want to keep driving around to all the other busy places. Why didn't I ask for the manager...honestly, figured they're probably a jerk too if these workers openly treat guests so rude. We were on vacation and NOT in the mood to argue. Rant...

If I could give 0 stars on service and food, I would. Mine friend ordered the vegetable sushi Sushi roll. I ordered the grilled shrimp with fries and a side salad. Also because I really wanted to try sushi I ordered the special eel roll.

My friend said her role was good. My side salad was decent. The fries were hot and seasoned well if not too much at times. The shrimp were grilled perfectly. However, they chose to dump a lot of the same spice as on the fries. On the shrimp. Only the shrimp was literally coated with the spice. Even after wiping off as much spice as I could. I could not taste the shrimp. I Didn't even eat three of the six pieces of shrimp I had. Now let's get to the sushi roll. This wonderful glorious twenty dollars sushi roll. That is not marked as spicy. And if you look online the description for the sauce does not show spicy. I tried to talk to them. And they were sat on me paying for it. I ate one slice and it was too hot for me to eat. They're special sauce is. Sriracha, spicy mayo and Another spicy sauce on top of that. If you look online at what is normally in that type of sauce, it's not spicy. When I brought this to their attention, They're rebuttal was,"I, THE CUSTOMER, THE KNOW TO ASK IF SOMETHINK IS SPICY!" Where do they take responsibility for letting the customer know. Again secondly online the sauce is a sweet sauce. Thirdly, all they have to do is on the menu. Put a pepper next to it. Are in this case I would put at least three peppers. My friend who loves hot stuff didn't even like this sauce. ALL IN ALL THE SPICES DROUNDED OUT MY TASTED BUDS AND BURNT MY MOUTH. THE WAITRESS ASKED IF SHE COUD TAKE THE DISHES,SHE RAN ASAY WITH THE SUSHI DISH WITH 1 SLICE EATEN AND LEFT THE REST!!!

THIS RESTAURANT CATERS TO THE 1X VISITOR THAT WILL NOT BE BACK AGAIN AND ABUSES THEM.

THEY WIN WITH A CATCHY LOGO, BUILDING BUILD, AND A JERK OF A MANAGER THAT SAYS THE CUSTOMER IS WRONG AND DEAL WITH IT!

MY MISTAKE COST ME OVER $60.

LET MY MISTAKE BE YOUR...

This was not a good experience. Upon arrival, we were told 1-1/2 hours wait by the hostess, who asked the owner standing next to her. I felt it was an attempt at choosing not to seat our party. Upon getting seated, 45 minutes later, my drink was wrong . . Redone, wrong again. Then, 20 minutes later half the table of food shows up. And the table next to us, seated 10 minutes after us had all their food. We wait another 30 minutes patiently, not complaining. Then I asked about our food as half the table was clearly finished eating and the other half, my wife and I, no food. The waitress said the kitchen lost the ticket, the owner said the waitress didn't input the ticket. . A tables ticket is all on one order. We were then told it was re ordered. It was out in like ten minutes. . But only half of it. . My plate, still missing. . Excuses instead of owning up to incompetence. My wife decided if they're not serving her husband, she isn't taking the plate. The owner reluctantly agreed to comp it all. We then left.

I'm just wondering if others have had the same or similar experience here?

After reading other reviews, clearly it's a management issue. Staff does not treat paying customers this way unless mgmt. shows the example. We were extremely patient and even tipped the waitress despite all the failures in their systems. It's a shame the Resteraunt invested but is taking losses on meals because of service like this. And staff would have gotten more as well as we usually do 20% in appreciation. If you don't show appreciation to your customers, you...
