On a beautifully sunny October day, I was so grateful to get the chance to try the Ironclad Eats taco truck when they were posted outside one of our favorite watering holes in Portland! Before I get into the full review: I do encourage people to try ironclad eats when they get chance! I look forward to trying the other menu items available. The folks at Ironclad were gracious upon greeting and patient as we made our choices for quick eats! The food was ready in a timely manner and looked very appetizing. I have to admit that the chop cheese and iron cubano were very tasty and hit my expectations to a tee. The thrashville chicken let me down a bit because I thought that the shredded chicken could certainly have been seasoned heavier (some bites were delicious and some bites were bland chicken taste). The riverbottom nightmare beef taco was similarly a bit disappointing, I was hoping for a more prominent taste from the gojuchang sauce. Based on food that I ate, I would aware ironclad eats 4/5 stars because I did think the chop cheese and iron cubano were actually amazing tacos that I would rush back to try again! I also noticed folks around me eating burritos and quesadillas that looked delicious. Heading downtown, I was excited for some nachos to go with our tacos and in the moment, I didn't see any side dishes that we wanted to add to our order. In the end, I also missed the sauce section of their menu (somewhat my fault) and I would have loved to try a couple of the assorted sauce options!

Ironclad Eats is the most amazing caterer we have ever witnessed at an event!!! Our wedding was absolutely perfect and in a huge part thanks to their amazing team! We have had guests reaching out to us just to comment on how amazing the food was. We have had guests send us photos of the food they brought home with them. We had one guest send us a photo of them having a leftover burrito for breakfast because they just couldn’t wait! We would book this food truck a million times over. Also, the to go box for the bride and the groom was the best thing in the world to go home to after a long day at the wedding! I hope you stay in business forever. We hired Ironclad Eats for our wedding of about 80 people at Belleflower Brewing Co. They were absolutely awesome! Communication before our event was clear and easy. During the event, the folks at Ironclad were super friendly and kind, and mad sure that our guests were served quickly--and obviously the food was also delicious :) We would wholeheartedly recommend working with Ironclad Eats for any similar event!

I have mistakenly never reviewed Iron Clad anywhere online. If you have a craving for tacos and even if you don’t, do yourself a favor and check social media to see the Clad Lads schedule to try their tacos! Heavy metal meets taco truck! Easily some of the best tacos around and easily the best food truck in the Greater Portland area. You can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. Dan and the whole crew are so friendly and make killer food. Often found at Belleflower brewing, so grab one of each taco they make and grab a Belleflower beer and support two great local businesses. Craft beer and delicious tacos make a perfect pairing. Like I said follow them on social media to see their weekly schedule and any special menu items. Especially be on the lookout for kitchen takeovers, like they recently did at George and Leon’s with some special menu offerings. A must try for those who love tacos and everyone else...

Iron Clad was love at first bite. The incredible tacos were enough to make Iron Clad a weekly routine (okay…sometimes more than weekly). I’ve eaten my way through the entire menu and have tried numerous specials, and I’ve had nothing but exceptional food every time. Seriously! There’s never been an ā€œoffā€ day, just consistently great tacos. Most of the menu is gluten free.

As an added bonus, the people are what makes the experience special. The dedication of Dan, Joey, and co. is reflected through their food, and I’m always served laughs and good vibes along with whatever I order. This business is generous, gives back to the community, and uses their platform to advocate, which is important to me. Do yourself a favor and go get a taco from iron...
