I recently dined at Sichuan Taste, and it was an unforgettable experience—in the best way. From the moment we walked in, the fragrant spices in the air hinted at the bold flavors to come. The restaurant had a warm, bustling atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing.
We started with the spicy wontons in chili oil, and they were phenomenal—delicately wrapped, perfectly cooked, and swimming in a sauce that delivered heat with flavor, not just fire. The mapo tofu was a standout: silky tofu in a rich, complex sauce with that signature numbing kick from Sichuan peppercorns. It was everything I hoped for and more.
Another favorite was the dry-fried green beans—crisp, savory, and just the right amount of salty. Every dish we tried felt thoughtfully prepared, with generous portions and vibrant ingredients.
If you’re a fan of authentic, fiery Sichuan cuisine, Sichuan Taste is a must-visit. Just be ready for some serious spice! (Pro tip: order the jasmine tea—it pairs beautifully with the heat.)

Ordered a pork dish that was supposed to be spicy, Taco Bell Fire sauce is hotter. It had sliced green BELL pepper, but no carrots or onions. It also had bamboo shoot---not Sichuan, but Cantonese and American ingredients. Was really greasy, too greasy for Sichuan. Is supposed to be slightly oily, but not totally greasy. Pork was sliced into baton, not shredded. Was sweet flavored and had more black pepper than any other seasoning. Small portion for 15.95. 24.95 for frozen potstickers and half way Sichuan food. Waitress was nice and food came quickly. BUT NOT SICHUAN FOOD. TOO EXPENSIVE FOR THE AMOUNT OF HOMELESS DRUGGIES I HAD TO WALK THROUGH TO GET IN THE DOOR. If you dont know this cuisine, it would be ok at best. If you have had this cuisine done correctly, you WILL be...
Read moreBeen coming here every summer for years, it was my third time coming and the food was mediocre. I do almost always tip my waitresses and was planning to on this occasion as well, until my little sister paid for her meal and I paid for mine. Mind you the waitress was rude and talked to me like I was stupid the entire time we were there. After we paid for our meals the waitress mentions “the tip wasn’t included in the bill”. Ok great got it. I’ll get to it once I’m done talking, but instead of leaving us alone she stands at the end of our table waiting. My little sister gets nervous and hands her a 5 dollar bill, and they she sits and waits for me to fill out my credit card paper tip. I refuse to do it with her standing over me watching and I left her nothing. I was going to tip her even after the terrible service but sitting and WAITING for me to fill it out? Pressuring my little sister into it? Absolutely insane and we will not...
