Had a dinner reservation for 7:30pm for a party of 6 on Saturday March 9th. We arrived at 7:20pm. We were staying at the graduate hotel where this restaurant is located in and as we walked in the host/food runner was very rude. She greeted us by saying โwhat can I do for a lot of you peopleโ in a very rude way. We explained that we had a reservation and she then proceeded to say we needed to go to the other host stand with even more attitude but never fully told us where the host stand was. So we had to sit by the pool table very confused till she came back very annoyed with us and said โitโs over there by the front doorโ in such a very disrespectful disgusting tone that I would of just left if my party wasnโt there for a celebration. We stayed at the host stand for a 30 minutes before even being recognized and there were three other parties waiting for a long time too. We even watched that same host woman push past so many costumers walking by with her shoulders. I disregarded the wait because they did seem busy. Till the manager finally seats us at a table in the very back room that has been empty since when we walked in to the wrong host stand because at that host stand you can see that room and it was very much empty. Once we sat we had to show the manager our IDs and he denied them saying โitโs a Rhode Island law that out of state licenses have to have a back up ID to be served alcoholโ. Which I thought was weird so I looked it up and couldnโt find too much info on it so I let it go. But come to find out he told our server that we had fake IDs so I now know that law is not true and we were discriminated against. Also used my out of state license at a different establishment later that night and had zero issues so it is 100% just this place. We even watched him set up a table next to us with all the extra table detail while all we got was silverware and paper menus. The general manager should be ashamed with how their establishment doesnโt treat everyone equally especially where you are located. The food wasnโt good at all either. It was undercooked and the presentation was awful. Honestly youโd probably get better service for the same price at the Cheesecake Factory around the corner. Even in other reviews people stated this establishment racially discriminated against them so shame on me for not reading the reviews before trying...

My wife and I had a reservation there while we were staying at the Graduate and we ordered a veggie burger with fries: on the menu it clearly states that it's a sweet potato and brown rice burger.
My wife ordered a cocktail that had a thyme simple syrup, and since I don't drink I asked if they could make me a mocktail using the same thyme syrup.
What we got: a burger that looked very much like a beef burger with no fries or any sides. Our waiter took it back to the kitchen and came back and explained it was actually an Impossible Burger. I have to say, it's a pretty egregious error for a restaurant to just decide to serve something completely different than what was on the menu. Had I known it was an Impossible Burger I would not have ordered it, as those make me ill.
The drinks: The waiter came back with our drinks and explained to me that the bartender just threw out the thyme simple syrup because it was expired. However, my wife still got her drink...which should have contained the same ingredient...and it was not explained to her that her drink was altered at all, or any discount given for the missing ingredient. And my mocktail? a glass of cranberry juice with an orange wedge that they charged me $5.50 for.

ย ย ย Read moreHotel itself is still beautiful & Grand Was a bit disappointed with the restaurant. Was expecting a restaurant not a bar with a few tables against the windows, Overlooking Kennedy Plaza .. Service was slow & waiters seemed annoyed when asked something as simple as opening up the water that was served . Menu was ok, not a lot to choose from. We went with something simple. The tater tots appetizer was good but way to much for a starter. Main course we chose, a tuna melt which was cold by the time we got it and French onion soup that came out after my sandwich which as a cortesy was taken off our bill also ordered a large salad that was a bit whilted by the time we finally got it. Quaint place to socialize. Just was expecting more from a place that once held several dining rooms. More of a Pub atmosphere than fine dining like we were expecting. Must add that prices were reasonable, even saw a family with 3 children dining there. Happy for the experience, may return if in the area again. Although we specifically made reservations for this place of which i don't think was necessary unless you don't want to sit at the bar.. Reason I was told they were booked solid from x time to...
