It's located in a section of a bike shop and gets pretty crowded around 9am onward and has a very cozy feel. At the register, there's a display of their pastries and a small menu of their seasonal items. Once you go back towards the line, you'll see a drinks menu and a bites (food) menu and you can take a look while you're on line. Staff are very nice and smiling and happy to answer questions.
We had to wait around 15 minutes to order the first time we came but there was no wait the second time we came because it had rained earlier. We ordered everything to go but if you wanted to sit inside, there's some counter seating.
We ordered the seasonal blueberry latte, cinnamon sugar latte, and ginger citrus latte. We also ordered the lavender latte. Each of the above had house made syrups and were so good and tastes exactly like the name. The ginger citrus is more of an earthy ginger flavor without the spiciness of ginger. Cinnamon sugar felt like I was biting into a cinnamon sugar donut and was fragrant. Blueberry was very refreshing but when you mix it into the coffee, you only get small hints of it. Lavender was definitely my favorite because it was light and floral but not in the "I'm drinking soap" way.
We ordered the cowboy cookie twice, chocolate chip cookie, carrot cake, coffee cake, and olive oil citrus cake. The cowboy cookie is so addicting! It has walnuts and chocolate chunks and is so crispy on the edges and slightly chewy in the middle and has a nice nutty flavor. The chocolate chip cookie is also very crispy and golden and delicious. The coffee cake is okay. Carrot cake is chewy and moist and the olive oil lemon cake is vibrant with the citrus flavor. Everything is not too sweet which doesn't make me feel like I can only take one bite of each pastry. I highly recommend getting the cookies because no one makes...
Read moreMy honest take: I've been coming here for a few months now. I don't drink coffee, but have tried about every other drink option (matcha, teas, fruit loop, etc) They are all pretty good. The kitchen food is pretty well made. I think some of the bakery treats from the box are kinda dry but still decent! I tried the pre-made italian grinder today. Pretty good! But everything is just good. It's not worth a 45 minute drive if you haven't been here. If you happen to be in Providence, stop on by! The marketing of this place is top notch, the owner knows what's she's doing in that department! It makes people want to drive long distances to try it out! Onto the Cons- this place is overstimulation central!!! If it doesn't bother you how small and crowded the space is, it's fine. But when they call your name for food/drink, you need to basically crawl over 30 people to grab your items. With how popular they are, I think they should look into a bigger location for Providence. The employees have never been overly pleasant. They aren't rude but they aren't kind either. It's a certain demographic of consumers/people that work here. If you don't fit into it, you kinda stand out. The prices are up there but I am ok paying that for a "small" business. Just be warned a large oat milk matcha is $10! Some people may not vibe with that. Overall- I think it's overhyped. It's good but it's not great. I think there are a lot of better, cheaper small businesses you could support. They might not be as "trendy" but they have a kinder atmosphere and are less crowded where you can sit down and...
Read moreGreat coffee. Breakfast burritos are always great; though they usually take a little while to make but they’re worth it! All the baristas here actually know how to make a latte which is great. The quality is really good for all the food and drinks. Wi-Fi is available and it is fast and good without weird like Cox barrier restrictions like some places have. Bathroom is clean and photogenic. Always extra supplies in there so there’s never like not enough paper. Cute house plants all over. This place is perfect for take-away/to-go but I don’t usually. I like to dine in.
There are a few cons to staying in but nothing bad enough to change my rating below 5 stars. They’re pretty much only a take out place now Post-COVID which I don’t like as much. They no longer offer ceramic mugs, you need to bring your own cup. They accept reusable mugs but it’s only 25¢ off (I feel like if I’m buying a $7.50 latte, My own cup should be way more discounted) They sell sweatshirts for $77 before tax. Maybe they are made locally by a small business, maybe the quality is great but they don’t mention it anywhere. The seating is just like a long bench with no cushions with tables that are actually pretty good to work at; I like the tables. Even if they’re a little short for the height of the bench. They used to have couches and now there’s a beverage fridge instead. They used to have decorations from the ceiling that made the light less harsh but those are gone now. That being said; it’s still great for take-away and the quality is still great. I do love it here but miss the way it was...
