Disappointing Experience and Deteriorating Food Quality

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the recent dining experience at your restaurant. I have been a loyal customer for quite some time, but unfortunately, the quality of both the service and the food has noticeably declined.

Firstly, I would like to address the issue of the server's rude behavior during my visit. The level of disrespect and lack of professionalism displayed by the server was extremely disheartening. Customer service should always be a top priority, and unfortunately, it fell short on this particular occasion. The server's attitude significantly affected the overall dining experience, leaving a negative impression.

Furthermore, I have noticed a significant decline in the freshness and quality of the food compared to my previous visits. The once remarkable flavors and textures that kept me coming back have now been replaced with subpar ingredients and lackluster presentation. Not to mention about the mosquitos flying throughout entire interior of the restaurant like nothing is wrong. This change has been quite noticeable and has taken away from the overall dining enjoyment.

As a loyal customer, I would appreciate some form of resolution to this matter. Whether it be a sincere apology, a reassessment of staff training, or a commitment to regain the previous high standards, I believe it is imperative for the reputation and success of your establishment.

I also want to mention that my intention in providing this feedback is not to harm or damage your business, but rather to bring awareness to the areas that need improvement. I truly hope that my observations can contribute to the betterment of your restaurant. Jean lee owner...

I order standard fare to compare in this review on pho in the southhill/ Puyallup area. Then I review Tacoma and Renton area for comparison and I rate as such. A bit after 1 pm. I ordered standard food I used for the ratings. Pho tai - 80/20 = noodles/ beef ratio. Others said bean sprouts had smell in other reviews, I detected none, basil plentiful but not fresh/ not aromatic, chilis plentiful, onions were a bit slimeynot fresh. Egg roll - was warm , did not come out of fryer and was not hot Spring roll wrapping dry, and a bit tough, was not fresh or cooled when served Bubble tea- was not well mixed and lumpy, tapioca was fresh. Had good flavor. Service- fast but seemed rushed. Staff was courteous. Comparison rating to pho tai near 128th street. Flavor and quality was better there than here. Service here was faster than there. The pho next to Greg's auto sales in service but edges this restaurant out with food. Comparison to Tacoma pho tai near or across korean grocery store beats this one with service, quality and quantity as this is open late late nite and services the military. This is well balanced. Restaurant on Tenton #great wall mall called pho tai chau is number one and I highly recommend but be aware english is rough but food is excellent. Ranking then iui s Pho tau chau, great wall mall..#1 2.pho tai in Tacoma south tacoma way. Pho tai south hill near 128th and by ivars 4th place would be here. 5th place is the pho near...

I came in here for the first time about 4 days ago. I ordered a vegetable fried rice with no carrots. The waitress said they couldn’t take out the carrots, was rude, & seemed like she was frustrated that I had asked for no carrots. Then when they brought me my food it was a shrimp fried rice instead of vegetable. When I received my food I informed them that I actually ordered a veggie fried rice. They brought my plate out no longer than 7 minutes later presented as so. But, when I took a bite it tasted like shrimp, as if they just took the shrimp out instead of actually making me a new meal like they should’ve. As a vegetarian I was offended that they were too lazy to remake something that THEY messed up on. After that I was over it so I didn’t really care to say anything about it I just wanted to eat. After I ate & paid for my meal I had asked if I could order a veggie spring roll to go, and the waiter had told me they only had ham and beef available right now. I asked if they would be able to take it out and they told me I would have to “do it myself”, then he proceeded to say “actually I don’t think our spring rolls are available right now” as another waitress was serving someone else 2 spring rolls on a plate. At that point I was just kind of offended and left. They’re food was pretty good for the most part but the service was terrible. Definitely won’t be going back...

The dining area was very clean and pretty large for a pho place. customer service was very quick to get me a menu and to order, but after my food was served, I was not checked on. I saw at least 4 workers. Unfortunately the broth was quite weak and lacked in the flavor department. I ended up using ALL of my Thai basil to give it some type of flavor (I've NEVER done that before). Still had to add sauces to get somewhat of better flavor. (I personally don't like to do this as it changes the flavor and I'm allergic to the hoisin sauce they have. Damn wheat allergies) Sprouts were turning brown but tasted fine. I also found a peice of paper on my meat... which made me triple check each bite from then on. The amount of meat Was EXTREMELY small. They only offer broccoli and cauliflower for extra veggies in pho (most places do cabbage, carrots mushrooms as well). There were lots of noodles though. Was not offered water refill until she came to give me my check. Took awhile to get a box to go, even though the waitress came past and looked straight at me patiently waiting. She was very Nice when we did talk though. Huge plus is they box your leftovers for you!!! I say its a good place to go if u have kids that don't like the strong pho flavor, or you yourself dont. Otherwise I would just go to puyallup Pho down the street. Much more food and flavor for your money.

Used to be my favorite pho place in town. They raised the prices, which was fine as it was during quarantine times and everyone was just trying to stay afloat. However recently the portions have gotten smaller while prices stayed inflated I used to be able to come here for a large pho and be stuffed. Now the broth comes in the small size container instead of the larger one that it used to and the noodles and toppings come in a small takeout rice container instead of the cup that they used to which significantly dropped the portion size. Also very disappointed to only get about 6-7 pieces of meat. My girlfriend also ordered two spring rolls and we only received one, unsure if we had paid for two since the receipt is not itemized and just gives a total but based on the price we paid I'm guessing we paid for two rolls. All in all pretty disappointed on how things have changed here and won't be coming back. I'll go to another local pho place down the road from now on.

We ordered 2 Pho and extra onion on the side. The food was good. Veggies were very fresh, broth was on the saltier side which I prefer, and had good aromatics. Service was accommodating with my meat on the side and extra plate of raw onions. The only thing I had an issue was, the waiter came out with 2 soup spoons and 2 FORKS. I looked around and we were the only Asians there (the waiter was also asian), and we got FORKS. We had to ask for chopsticks. I feel like chopsticks should be on the side like most authentic pho shops. We shouldn't have to ask since pho is often traditionally eaten with chopsticks! I really questioned going into a pho shop in Puyallup but I was really hungry and it was surprisingly good. This review is coming from a person who regularly eats pho in the greater Seattle area and Tacoma area.. Another note: I really appreciate the option to sit anywhere. I love the seating by the windows, the warm sun was comforting.
