Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga

Is this an Applebee's that is a part of the DINE BRAND??? I came into this establishment just to grab some appetizers and maybe a drink and wind down, but my guest and I experienced what I consider the worst upholding of the BASIC standards, that I am sure was trained but never met. ABSOLUTELY RACIALLY DRIVEN

This is certainly NOT the standards of Applebee's at least when I used to work here (not this location, but I was a Montclair Applebee's server for years) and so I show love to the brand by patronizing still. But on 2/20/25 it was the most uncomfortable, RACIAL driven experience ever!

upon walking in, all of the hosts/servers/bartenders (that I seen on staff) were not at all Busy, there were table sat and eating but as I stood at the door it, there was a 4 minute wait to even be greeted, after it seemed like the teeth of the host was pulled to come seat us, we were then placed in the bar area in a booth... This is where it gets interesting.... I KNOW for a FACT the standard greeting time for ANY table no matter what is 30 seconds to TWO MINUTES MAX!! my guest and I sat...waited, looked servers in the eyes who decided to continuously walk past our table...

Forgive me if this is insulting as I describe who these servers were, One Heavy set guy, long black hair, with arm tattoos...walked by our table multiple times and there was no greeting, another guy taper hair cut, glasses and wheres the fake gold and has the goofy smile, also made eye contact and proceeded to ignore that there was a new table in his section.

Ultimately seating for 10+ minutes and NO GREETING, the bartender, absolutely seen us but yet made no effort to even see if we needed anything. As we made quick eye contact as well.

It only boils down to one thing, this place has a HUGE issue with serving guests of African American culture. This was absolutely racially driven no way around it. Any other excuse is just pure Laziness (and Yes I dont care if they are all hispanic, there is a such things as Racist Mexicans)

At the end of the day, it had to feel awkward to seat us, and after around 15 minutes of not being greeted, my guest and I walked out...and you know what the HOST had the nerve to say upon exit (yes the same host who sat us) "You guys have a good night"

This place is a disgrace to the entire restaurant industry, the BASIC steps of service were not followed and this is a reflection of Management, this is a reflection of NOT CARING AT ALL....just a group of people holding on to a job, "getting by"

Not knowing you had a Chef sitting in your establishment who understands it isnt easy and always tips 50%-100% just off the pure heart of knowing what it is like to be a server!! but how would you know? unless of course you greet people!! The restaurant was dirty, I believe these servers thought it was cute to do this as they were fully aware of this and no one decided to approach us, not even for water..but then again the servers here seem like they would spit in your water.

NEVER AGAIN will this place be patronized! this is NOT a "neighborhood" bar & grille this is a quick hang out. Honestly needs to be revamped with people who care. This is an humiliation to the DINE IN BRAND, and you should check your management of upheld standards!! I can only imagine how the Kitchen looks, I can only imagine the amount of stealing goes on here, just look at the standards and it will tell you everything about this restaurant.

I am not going to end this review with a "I hope this place gets better" BS!!! I hope this place completely closes, and I have never wished this on any establishment...But the company is a reflection of the people it hires!! and from The BUMMY looking Host up to the Oddly shaped Bartended with the goofy glasses..this place is disgraceful.

Today me and my friends went to Applebee's at 2:20 p.m. we walked in and the lady asked us where did we want to sit at we told the lady at the front that we wanted to sit at the bar so we can have drinks for happy hour so the lady that was working the bar she asked us for our ID we showed her ID me and my friends and one of my friends she was just staring at her ID and she told her I need to get my manager to verify your ID so she said okay so the manager came over there and she said that I will not be able to sell you a drink because this don't look like you on your ID so then another manager came out he was in the from the kitchen and the actual manager Heather and him was looking at the ID and they said that it doesn't look like her on her ID so she asked them for their name she gave him their name and she says so this don't look like me on my ID she said it doesn't look like you she said that's crazy that is me on my ID and they still proceeded to say that that wasn't her on her ID they were racially profiling because she was an African American woman so we proceeded to after we got the information we walked out we did not stay at that establishment and I advise people to be aware of how people treat you at a restaurant just because they think that's not you on your ID who's going to be walking around with a fake up with a fake ID and ID that belong to somebody else that does not make any sense when people start racially profiling you at these restaurant we need to start protesting and then they will start getting a big picture to where nobody start going to the business they'll start losing money once they start losing money they going to really start paying attention and not assume that somebody have a fake ID or somebody else ID so we got to start protesting people start standing up for ourselves so they just let us leave out of their establishment without serving us so we walked out and went to another restaurant that had better service than Applebee's do not go to the Applebee's on foothill in rancho Cucamonga they...

Went to Applebees with my wife and the service was excellent but what I order from a pic of salmon with broccoli with string beans looked delicious and when the order came to the table they brought me what I order but nothing like the pic in the menu. I had 2 little pieces of salmon with enough broccoli and string beans to fit on one of my hands. I paid $20.00 dollars for my dish and that was a horrible experience. Don’t recommend or waist your time going to Applebees. The portions are very small and is better to save your money for a restaurant that offer adult portions. By the way this was not the employees fault, that was corporate trying to make a bigger profit from my order. I’ll promise, next time something like this happens I’ll post the before and after. Update: By the way I was contacted by Applebees and they said there’s room for improvement and that they will get back 2 me shortly. I commend Applebees for taking their time to not only get in contact with me but promise to do better. The restaurants industry should learn from Applebees customers service immediate response and respect to their clientele. Update from Applebees: another email was send, this time from the manager and for a very strange reason He wants my phone number number and this was my answer: Mr. Cortez: why the insistence on talking 2 me over the phone? I was charged $19.99 for my meal of Salmon(2 little pieces of salmón and a hand full of broccoli with string beans) that look nothing like the picture in your menu. I guess your restaurant figured I will not notice but I did, called your restaurant on it, corporate wonder what happened here, let’s talk 2 the franchise owner and for some bizarre reason you will like to talk 2 me. You don’t need 2 apologize, that was a real low blow from Applebees and talking 2 me is not going change what happened. If anything I’m concern with this situation. I like Red Robin they gave me the same order and the pic look just like the food I received. I see...
