Raliberto’s taco shop — Restaurant in Redding

Truly haven't felt less welcomed in a place in a long time.

We get there, order our food and are very polite. The girl at the register looked like she would rather speak to anybody but my friend and I who went in.

Before we even finalized everything and walked away she spoke to somebody last in line "would you like some salsa?" to which I said "sure!" before realizing she wasn't even talking to me.

Shortly after finding our table to sit down, I walked up to where she was and patiently waited to ask about the bathroom, because it was locked. The door stated "for customers only", so I figured a key was needed. Her response '" just cleaned it and wouldn't want you to 'you know'" to which I replied with a smile and "I understand!".

While my friend sat and waited for the food I rushed across the street to use the restroom at a business I'm well known at. Rushed back, only to find my friend was there with our food bagged up.

Not once were we asked "for here? Or to go?". By neglecting to ask us that, and just bagging our food up. It was well received that we weren't welcomed there. You can bet I'll never come back.

Last little keynote. Try reading back to order to make sure you've understood everything the customer was saying. I've worked in restaurants and fast food. Sometimes you even have to pretend you don't...

$11 for 5 street tacos. Can't beat those prices. That's $2.25 ea.

The tacos were pretty good for street tacos, of which I hadn't had in a very long time, being that where I live, fun inexpensive places to eat are off limits to confident, fine in their own skin females. This place was ok, it was empty and close to the event venue I needed to be at in a short amount of time. The restaurant only was pretty empty, kind of clean, not very bright. The lady to took my order was extremely smiley, as though i was the first customer of the day, it felt a bit odd.

Even though the breakdown of the tacos were $2.25 ea, it would be nice if they had a 3 taco special, b/c 5 tacos are a lot to eat. 🌮 I would go back, if my outside food budget allowed for it and if I were in that part of Downtown...

Order a to go order today February 4 at 8:30 pm. Normally the food is good today terrible. Order chille relleno and it literally just had and egg cooked over the pepper instead of a batter. Was supposed to come with guacamole which was in the description and the photo also showed a batter over the chile. Got supreme nachos and they were terrible as well normally they have all the topping with cheese it was just meat and chips with little cheese. My crispy chicken taco was supposed to be shredded chicken was not. And it was soggy. The enchiladas we ordered had no chicken in them as well. Spent 50 dollars for food that’s barely edible. Wish we had seen this before already arriving home would have had them remake or get a refund. Honestly we should be proved...
